This hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. I could overlook the lack of updates, if it was clean. However, it was NOT! The staff was not attentive to our needs. We had very disruptive guests above us and requested that they speak with them or move us. They never resolved the matter! It sounded like they were running and jumping at all hours day and night. Don’t waste your money!

We have stayed at the Mainstay Frederick several times over the last three years and always found it to be very clean and quite pet friendly.

All in all a good place to stay with your fur baby. The rooms have a little kitchen area with full fridge/freezer, microwave, cooktop and oven, some pots, dishes and utensils. Lots of room for Dex to walk around. Room was clean and bed was comfortable though Hubby doesn’t like the smaller sized pillows. Ask for extra if you need lots of fluff. The best part was the price.
We paid $100 total + $10 pet fee on a Saturday night. Surrounding places at least $50 more. This is also located near all kinds of restaurants and shopping. We didn’t use pool or breakfast so can’t speak for those. Looked fine. Good sized flat screen TV. Good picture. Staff was polite and friendly.The cons: Walls were thin. We could hear people running right above us and doors closing etc. Dex didn’t bark but some dogs might if not used to hotels.
The pull-
out sofa was vinyl (pet-friendly) but not in great shape or particularly comfy.In summary, great value with a few drawbacks the worst being the thin walls (and perhaps the popcorn ceiling).
