Very nice pet potty area close to rooms. Trash can was a short walk over by the laundry and vending machines. It could have been closer to the pet area - had to search for it. Six block hike to downtown. Great pet friendly restaurants. Will go again.

The room was very big and had a balcony overlooking a view of Bar Harbor. You have access to the pool and fitness center at the Bluenose Inn next door. There are plenty of spots for your dog to walk/go, and there is a restaurant with serviceable breakfast food and a great view too. Dogs aren’t allowed inside the restaurant though, only on the deck, so if you’ve got kids and a dog and it’s raining, you might have to get creative. The free island bus stops right at the motel and takes you and your dog into town. If you want to walk instead, it’s about a 10 minute walk downtown. There’s a laundromat and vending machines on site. There is also a cute little courtyard for kids/dog to play. Overall a great spot with a laid back vibe!

While the room was a bit dated, it was very comfy and had a wonderful deck, windows that opened, and incredible view of the harbor. The location was within walking distance and short drive to Acadia. I would definitely stay there again.

For the most part the accommodations were adequate at best. And while the property is huge and my pup loved all the grass to walk and sometimes run, the room was extremely outdated. It felt like we stepped into the early 80’s, unreasonably expensive for just a place to sleep… overall we were happy to find a place that we could stay with our pup, but disappointed in the value.

We stayed here this past weekend. Not only did they not have the dog bowls or bags they said they did on website the hairdryer did not work. The room was simple and clean, however, the curtains had holes in them with the sun coming in the morning. Again great location and clean but disappointed for the price.

When we arrived we were somewhat perplexed, from the outside it looks like a cheap motel, but once you enter the room it was pleasant enough, clean and comfortable.
They told me that two other buildings on the property, Hilltop and Hillcrest, are actually better, but they were booked when we got there so could not verify in person, you might want to try those if you want an upgrade.
The staff was welcoming and helpful.
