Close to many restaurants and the waterfront. The layout was a bit unusual for a motel. Setup more like a small townhouse with a small living room/kitchen/bedroom on the ground floor and a larger bedroom upstairs.

Dog friendly is limited to whenever they decide to open the porch to seat people. Would have expected the porch to be open on a beautiful Michigan summer holiday weekend. Disappointed along with others we encountered in the parking lot who were turned away.
