  But once I found it there was a reasonable pet fee of $25. The room was ok but the other guests were not respectful of others sleeping and there were noises in hallway most of the night.

  Adequate for Larger Breeds

  The hotel exterior shows some wear, but the interior is in good condition and the staff are mature and friendly. The street is quiet and tree-lined, and there is a park a block away to exercise larger breeds. There is a mall a mile away with a wide choice of restaurants.

  Filthy, smelly, noisy, old place

  Don't stay here. It feels unsafe. Carpet stains all over the place. Terrible smell. Old and dirty. Breakfast served was terrible: old hard bread, coffee machine not working. Pet fee of $20.

  Pet friendly room on the 1st floor, but the dog potty area our back was a little steep in some spots. The pet fee seems a little high at $20 pet dog/per night but the base nightly rate made it comparable to other hotels.

  You get what you pay for

  The fire alarm went off twice at 1am due to someone taking a “hot shower.” Phone in room did not work. Parking was interesting. But for the price and a short stay it was okay.

  Doggone good

  This place was clean and felt mostly safe, but they could use more lighting. Especially in the back of the hotel where you can access your room from the parking lot. The actual grounds had very limited grassy potty areas, but if you walk down the street, there is plenty of grass for your dog. And they allow pets of all sizes. I don’t understand why some places have a size limit, especially when they allow multiple dogs.

  The hotel overall was great and accommodating for me and my pups. Probably not a great place if your dogs are really reactive to doors slamming and people walking in the rooms above. The close proximity of the airport resulted in a lot of late check ins/early check outs and just general movement throughout the hallways is very easy to hear in rooms, which my dogs woke up to frequently and made for a not so full night of sleep for us (and possibly the neighbors too unfortunately). Not necessarily a negative on the hotel but just something to consider if your dogs are sound sensitive like mine are!

  Horrible customer service

  The staff that checked us in had the personality of a boulder. She was rude and didn’t give a crap that they completely screwed up our reservation. I do not recommend staying here.

  You get what you pay for

  The place is decent. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it’s better than a motel. It smelt really bad on the third floor where we stayed, but luckily the smell was in the hallway not the room. The room was fine, just a little small in the bathroom! Other than that the staff was friendly and it’s in a decent area right across the street from a cute shopping center! My cat was fine with the space, there just wasn’t an actual area designated for dogs so my dog had to go to the bathroom in the parking lot in a small grass area along a fence. You get what you pay for and it was just for one night on our road trip so it worked out.

  Was the nicest place we have stayed with our 2 dogs. Counter girl very pleasant and nice. Rooms were clean and smelled great. Places were clean for the dogs to go potty 👍

  This place smells!

  I should have read the other reviews before staying here. There is a horrible smell in the hallway - it's a really strong chemical smell that will make you want to gag. I can't imagine how bad it must be for dogs.
  This motel is dirty too. The hallway rug is badly stained, and the floor in our room was filthy. Honestly, I didn't take my shoes off and slept in my clothes. It was just so dingy and gross. The walls and door are really thin, and you'll hear a lot of noise. We were 1/2 way down the hall, and I could still hear every time the exit door slammed shut. Every time we walked down the hall, all the other dogs barked too. I do not recommend this place at all! Do yourself a favor and skip it!

  Lots of space for my rott mix! Hallways had a sort of funny smell but room was clean and smelled perfectly fine. Staff was very friendly and left cute breakfast bags in lobby if wanted.

  They allow dogs to bark. When I called because the room next to us had a dog barking would do nothing about it. We had a room the had a door that connected the rooms which allowed us the hear and even smell smoking. Nothing was done.

  Worked out great!

  Nothing fancy, but we had a nice clean room on the first floor close to the back door and pet potty area. It was easy to get in and out for potty breaks. I would definitely stay here again with my pup!

  Vijay the night manager was awesome!! He even made my coffee at 5am so we could leave early.

  Good place for dog.

  Was good enough for what we needed. The tile area and bathroom were a little small for our hound. The towels and sink were next to the door and the toilet and shower on the other side and very small so it limited the area we wanted to keep the dog in case he had an accident but the room was ridiculously spacious if you have a good dog that wouldn’t go on carpet. Very pleased with our experience. Breakfast was as expected. Checkout was easy. The lobby is nice, very comfortable, and clean.

  We decided to take a weekend getaway in KC. It was a last minute trip so are options were limited. This place was okay, no frills but it was clean. The building itself if kind of old but we felt safe there. Lots of grass out back for my little guy. I would stay there again.

  Clean rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff.
  Shuttle service was the opposite. Instead of the promised 20 minutes, it took over an hour and several phone calls from our end to be picked up. While I understand things can come up, reliability and clear communication would have been appreciated.

  Nice Room & Dog Friendly

  Very good room for having dogs. Beds were very comfortable. Tile on part of the floor, making it a good place to feed the dogs with easy clean up. Plenty of grassy areas. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would certainly stay here again.

  We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Highly recommend it for people traveling with their pets. It is a nice area with lots of shops and good food choices. The staff was very friendly and We will definitely return. Big dogs are allowed with no extra charge which was super nice since we travel with our Great Dane, Annie ❤️.

  This hotel smelled so bad. The sheets on the bed had brown stains all over them and the curtains had a red fluid on them. The staff was friendly but the conditions of the hotel made me uncomfortable. There isn't much area to walk your dog and my dog was TERRIFIED of the grass area they did have. She was literally shaking and wouldn't budge from the concrete. Just find somewhere else.

  Nice For Traveling With Pets

  Needed to come to KC on short notice over the holiday weekend. Boarding kennels we’re booked at home, so I brought my large dog. LaQuinta was the best! My stay included free breakfast, friendly staff, and restaurants and shopping nearby. What more could I need or ask? I guess the only drawback was both the original refrigerator in my room and the replacement both died during my stay. The water leaked into my leftover BBQ so I was unable to eat it. Other than that minor inconvenience, it was a nice stay.

  I loved this hotel. Very clean and hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast was good too. It was refreshing to stay is something so nice that allows large pets.
