  Big room

  Stopped on our way to Florida. Very busy area but lots of dinner choices. Green space, designated dog areas that were well lit. Room was very large, laminated floors, clean and well maintained.

  Good Value and Convenient

  We liked the motel access on the first floor. Parking directly in front of our door on the first floor made loading and unloading super easy. The tradeoff is that it got a little noisy in the early morning as other guests were preparing to leave. Breakfast was just OK. Room clean, bed comfortable and no problems with our dog.

  Stop on way to FL

  Decent & clean but it’s noisy. Between the highway next door and lots of construction. My older dog was fine but in his youth he would have barked all night. Lots of movement around the building as it seems to have a bunch of the construction crew staying there.

  Great location

  Plenty of space for pup to walkabout with disposable stations. Staff very friendly… and Walmart within easy walk if you need anything. Hotel looking kind of tired but clean. Breakfast was fine.

  Perfect for short stay

  Best Western Lumberton was great for a one night stay passing through. Check-in was easy and the room was large and spacious. Our pup was welcome in the lobby during check-in and had plenty of spots to choose from to potty outside. There was even a doggie station with a trash can and poop bags.

  Very friendly staff

  A green oasis of dog-walking grass surrounded by: Walmart, Lowe's, Chic Fila, Panera Bread, Starbucks, etc. Had a little problem with the door not closing properly, but fixed it myself pretty quickly. Nice breakfast. Spacious room. A little noisy from all the surrounding traffic, but dogs settled all right.

  Excellent Location

  Good grass for fido. Walmart is VERY short walk. Since this is a 2 story "motel" the hallway is outdoors and is dark and reminiscent of the Walking Dead. The room itself was very nice and TV channels were quite good. The door lock was iffy. Parking access was very food.

  Only drawback was that room was on second floor. Stairs only. Had to carry paralyzed dog as a Senior myself. But clean and comfortable once up there.

  The best CONSISTENTLY

  Always clean, excellent maid service, never smell previous pets, and a lovely staff. Amazing breakfast bar. Clean pool. Thank you for making our long drive better!

  Didn’t get a room

  After 11 hours of driving, we pulled into Beat Western in Lumberton SC. There was a computer glitch with reservation, something about the virtual card. I gave her a copy of confirmation email, my ID (license and military), and my credit card. I was reserved, confirmed, and paid for in full but reception refused to give me a room. I asked her to call her supervisor. She did nothing. Called BringFido help line & they called hotel reception offering suggested steps. I was polite but insistent and finally she started helping other customers. I asked her, “Are you going to give me a room?” Answer was no with a head shake and off she went. I drove 20 miles down the road and got a room another Best Western. And it was raining cats & dogs!! Terrible. I regret having to give them even 1 bone.

  Outside entry which is very convenient with pets. Lots of grassy area and you can walk to multiple dining spots. The room was clean. It’s across from Walmart so you get some traffic noise early in the evening but the AC fan friend it out.

  Nice pup-friendly hotel

  Our junior suite was very clean, comfortable and convenient to multiple restaurants in the area. We were in town for a dog show and it was nice to find a hotel that was so dog friendly and clean. Dog waste stations are positioned around multiple sides of the property and there is ample green space. Approximately 3/4 mile away, there is a very nice sit down restaurant called Your Pie, whose large patio is pup friendly, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hot breakfast was quite good -- scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, breakfast breads/muffins, oatmeal with all the toppings. We would certainly stay at this hotel again if in town for another dog show.

  Right off 95, as you would expect from a Best Western. Clean, comfortable bed, dog walking convenient, In a busy commercial location though. Quite a bit of noise from trash trucks and cars.

  Excellent property and nice town

  BW Lumberton was very well maintained w/no surprises. Definitely a good value and we had a better experience there than other 5-bone rated properties listed with BringFido (such as Fayetteville NC). Clean, secure and a better breakfast than we've seen at other places. Also Lumberton (for a small town right on I-95) has more & better food choices than just the usual fast food.

  More Motel Than Hotel

  My usual preference for a midway break during Tampa Bay or even past Singer Island FL 1200 miles drives to Eastern Long Island NY has been Raleigh NC which 600/600 miles point. In the past I’ve also met up with friends there. But I had Best Western Lumberton on my list as a decent option for my two great German Shepherd Dogs. I used BF to make the reservation but followed up on day of travel with the hotel. Claudia was very good on the phone ensuring we’d have a good room waiting. It was a 12 hour drive thanks to I-75, then switching to I-95, and giving dogs plenty of stops en route.

  Karyn (hope I’m remembering the name right) was there at check in and went above and beyond holding door open while I got two excited dogs & my luggage from the car to go through the lobby. The room was spacious, clean, decently comfortable. They need thicker blankets and hotter water but that’s just for readers’ awareness. The AC was great. The room dark and quiet despite being near a busy area. The free wifi was decent. Decent space outside to walk the dogs. Easy to park near enough a room not to worry about the vehicle. The free breakfast was the usual fare you’d expect but still great time and a few bucks saver before getting back on the road. Definitely plan to stay here again God willing.

  Great experience for our pup’s first hotel!

  This hotel is literally right off Route 95, and walkable to Walmart, Panera, and lots of places. Our room was large, with the most comfy bed, and a large bathroom. We all slept great! There is a huge grassy area with poop bags and a trash can. The breakfast (6-9 am) had everything we could want, hot and cold, and great coffee. We will definitely stay here again!

  The hardware from the tub was falling apart. There were people yelling outdoors close to our room during the night.

  Highs and lows

  The highs: right off the highway, comfy beds, clean room, large TV that swiveled so everyone could see. Also lots of grass for pups to sniff and do business. I also appreciated that there was a Panera right across the parking lot (sometimes it's hard to find anything remotely healthy while traveling). The lows: I saw two cockroaches in the room in the morning. We booked two rooms and the others also saw one in their room. They also said there was a lot of construction noise during the night. I didn't hear it though.
  Without the cockroaches, I probably would have given 4 bones.

  Affordable, but not great

  The outer door didn't fit, so the gap to outside was big enough for squirrels to get in! Thankful for no rats. Right on the I-95, so noisy. Breakfast room and coffee bar locked off. No coffee in room. King bed with 3 cheap pillows made of lumpy stuff... not big enough to rest a dog's head on. Never again!

  Walkout to grassy area, complete with poop bags. Laminate floors and for the dog’s people, comfy beds. The place is a bit dated, but we will definitely go back.

  Everyone and thing was wonderful, will stay there again. However, I would request a room away from the stairs next time. My dog did not get much sleep as he was up barking and telling those partying and socializing outside our door by the stairs, to be quiet. 😊

  We have stayed here both down and back from S. Florida. This will be our stop from now on. Exactly halfway from either house. Rooms are clean, a bit noisy, but we stayed on the pool side and it wasn't as noisy. Good sized area for dogs. Bagged breakfast was good enough to hold us until we decided we wanted to stop. Only bad thing was no carpet, my older dog has a hard time on hard floor, but she handled it.

  Noisy Spot

  The room was nice, clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The floor was laminate which does make sense for cleaning,but we hear tick tick tick!
  The shower left something to be desired.
  Overall I would rd the hotel if only it were located in a more quiet spot Noise from the road and parking lot was significantl.

  It was a pleasure walking into our room. It was clean and had everything we could need for our overnight stay. I always worry when taking my pet to places because I've had some poor experiences and the rooms have been .... subpar. This was a very pleasant surprise!

  Hotel room smelled like mildew and the floor was dirty pergola. They messed up my credit card charge. Fortunately, they were friendly and helpful. Not enough for me to recommend and stay there again.

  Staff was friendly. I recommend staying on the bottom floor -No carpet. Lots of other people staying here with their dogs also. Free breakfast that was really good. Nice grassy area for walking dogs.

  Decent and inexpensive

  We stayed in Lumberton in our way to Florida last week. 3 adults and one medium dog. The location is right off the highway which is good and it’s not really noisy once you’re inside your room. I didn’t realize that it was external doors and not doors facing the hallway. I generally do not stay at places because I don’t feel the security is as good. The room was a bit dated but adequate. The breakfast was in the lobby And it was pretty standard with waffles, pastries, cereal, oatmeal and some fruit. They were grassy places to walk the dog. Overall it was fine but there really was nothing to drive me back.

  Right off of I95 and right next to Starbucks (gotta get those Puppachinos!) this was a great overnight spot for my dog and me. Nicely renovated and LARGE room, clean, nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend it!

  So-so facility. In a busy area with Lowe's and 24 hour WalMart next door. Many fast food restaurants nearby. We had good take out meals from Smithfield's next door. Not a lot of area to walk the dog but enough immediately around the motel to take care of business. Good for a one night stay.

  Clean but stinky (old, smoky) non-smoking rooms

  The maids have done the best they can to provide clean rooms and bedding in this old-style motel. Everything worked properly. The hotel staff were very pleasant an helpful. However, the rooms odors were hard to get used to. By the way, many kudos to BringFido's very responsive, very helpful staff. BF's Paula took outstanding care of us!

  The rooms are very nice and very large with a nice seating area. The place looks to be recently renovated and the furniture looked new.

  The room was very clean and well maintained. Lots of grass area for the dogs. Looks like other pet owners were very responsible as there was not a bunch of poop all over the grass.

  Rates were very reasonable and pet fee was $10. Will definitely stay there again.
