The hotel is hard to find, parking lot was full of trash, the grass areas were overgrown and there was a guy letting his gigantic Great Dane run off lead in front of the hotel. All that before I even went inside!
The front desk clerk was struggling to run the computer system and couldn't understand English very well, which made talking to him very difficult. My room was paid in full through BringFido, all I needed to do was pay for the pet fee. He finally gave me the room key and told me he would call me when he figured out what he needed to charge me.I went to the room and it was not as advertised, it was small and old. There was water leaking from the ceiling in the hall and a sign at the desk stating the pool and spa area was shut down by the state of Nebraska until further notice for failing to follow the state guidelines to protect the health and safety of guests!
When I went back out to bring my Corgi in I walked past pepperoni laying on the sidewalk cooking in the hot sun! I ended up staying here because it was late in the day and there was no other choice!
I really wanted to sleep in my car, but the room was paid for so I kept my dog on the bed and slept with one eye open! Do yourself and your pup a favor and drive on by to Lincoln or Nebraska City and find a nice place to sleep!! - ManaNov 15, 2020Good rate - the room was ok
Can’t beat the rate but the room felt more like a motel room. Did have mini fridge and microwave but is very far from most places to eat and shop (approx 20 miles). Staff was friendly. No breakfast due to COVID. Was happy that they took dogs so I booked and glad I found them even though it was farther.

Safe Stay: Syracuse Inn & Suites has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Hand sanitizer is provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
