    I would not recommend this hotel

    This hotel was really disappointing. The beds were awful and the hotel is on a very loud street. My TV didn't work and one of the hallway lights didn't work. They do have a dog relief area but it is sharp rock that my dog wouldn't use. I ended up walking her on the street but the area didn't feel safe nor comfortable.

    La Quinta fills the need

    Not a top tier motel or location, but a good price, nice people and a clean, quiet room. All I needed with my 2 dogs. The front desk woman was very pleasant and talkative.

    Free pet stay

    It's hard to find hotels in Las Vegas when traveling with big dogs. Some hotels allow dogs 20-50lbs with a pet fee (each night) that's usually more than the room itself. BringFido helped me find a hotel that allowed large dogs for free close to the strip, that did not need to be kenneled if you left the room. They also had a huge area to walk your pet to go potty, to which some have a small area which are covered in landscaping bushes and vines that even I had problems walking in. The rooms were neat and clean and comfortable. I have a 12 yr old German Shepherd dog and a 6 yr old, and take them with me when I travel because I have had some bad luck at kennels. When I do travel, I take my dogs with me and will definitely be using this app more in the future. Thank you BringFido for helping me find pet friendly hotels where my dogs are welcome.

    Not worth it

    Room was old, only a rocky area for potty breaks. No blow dryer or phone in room. Blankets were very thin. Mattress was at least comfortable. Not worth $114/night.

    Not recommend

    We reserved a room with ADA accommodations and pet friendly. We were provided with a pet friendly room in the basement that has no ADA accommodations. The hotel told us while checking in that because we have a dog, they cannot put us in the ADA room. I think the hotel should make it clear on the website or let us know prior to checking in so we could arrange for other accommodations. The hotel was semi-clean and breakfast was very minimal. We were not impressed. At a rate of $225 a night, we expect a little more. We ended up canceling the second night and went somewhere else. The cost for the second night was non-refundable but it is worth it not to stay there.

    Not as advertised

    The pics made it look much cleaner than it actually looks. The carpets were dirty and the hotel's furniture was very old and outdated. The biggest thing for me was the fitness center was out of order.

    The only saving grace of this hotel was the staff, very friendly and helpful. The actual hotel was terrible. Stains on the walls in the room. Not the best neighborhood. They have a dog relief area with bags and trash bin provided but it is just rocks and covered with dog poop.

    Cheap and conveniently located

    My wife and I booked a room last minute, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a decently affordable place that had no pet-size/breed restrictions with no pet-fee. However, we'll most likely not book at this location again, as this turned out to be the bare minimum of what you'd expect: Despite the negatives below, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was barely larger than the bed. There are no elevators (so hopefully you're not traveling with much and your pet doesn't have problems with stairs). The entire hotel had an odd smell. The carpets are stained throughout. The sinks eventually drain, but back up constantly due to some sort of clog. The walls and doors are incredibly thin, and anyone entering/leaving a neighboring room sounds like they are slamming the door.

    Check-In Issues

    We had issues from the get go at La Quinta. I wasn’t planning on getting a room while in Las Vegas but a roommates allergies to dogs forced my hand. La Quinta was chosen based on Location, which isn’t bad at all if you want proximity to the stadium and strip. Our biggest issue was checking into the room. I understand they were short staffed but I had to return 3x to get into my room stating it wasn’t ready. When you’re in the LV heat with a puppy, that’s not what you’re wanting to hear. They offered me a 10% discount for the inconvenience, but it was never received. the actual rooms wasn’t anything to marvel at either, multiple broken features were in the room. It served its purpose though. It had A/C, a bed, and functioning toilet. I’m just glad I wasn’t charged anything for the broken item that already existed. I’d stay there again, but I’d be more prepared for the delays this time.

    Great For Dogs

    This motel is very close to the bus line to get to the Strip in Vegas. They welcomed our dog with no extra paperwork or charges. We had a nice clean room with great air conditioning, which is a must for Las Vegas in June. I would stay here again.

    Pet owners relegated to the basement 😢

    Without an elevator, this was definitely a bother. The lack of in room or in lobby coffee didn’t help.

    Scary visit

    Shower didn't work. Hotel is dated on a busy street (that you can hear all night) directly across from Las Vegas' largest adult store (bright neon through the curtains). I won't even discuss what was happening in the parking lot. It seemed like a flop hotel. Stay somewhere else!

    Love the staff

    They were great after I had extreme difficulty getting my reservation for motel 6. Checked me in within ten minutes and when my key wasn’t working the housekeeper helped me get into my room so that I could get my dogs. I would love to stay here again.

    Confused about good reviews

    Obviously you get what you pay for but the pictures presented were extremely misleading. Hasn’t been updated in at least 15 years. Broken TV and unenthusiastic staff. Feet were black from walking barefoot on the carpet and had an awful smell. Also in a rather sketchy part of town. Won’t be returning.

    Good hotel

    We had a nice stay here with our large dog Zuzu. The area isn't great but the hotel was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The pet area is just some dirt but they do have a doggy waste area and it was fairly large.

    Ok location

    Moderately clean and comfortable. Safe location and parking. Covid is their excuse for everything. No breakfast ( understandable) no bottled water, no ice, outside door doesn’t work so have to go thru Lobby,, no elevator, so after carrying our suitcases up the stairs discovered they didn’t program our room keys correctly so had to go back down all the stairs to get that fixed. Probably won’t stay there again.

    Great location off the strip

    Our stay at La Quinta Las Vegas Tropicana was everything we expected. Quick check-in, friendly staff, clean room, no frills. The location is a quick uber ride from the strip I’d that’s where you’re looking to hang.

    Fine experience

    To be honest, everything was great. I gave it a 4-star review because covid eliminated the breakfast. Other than that.. good stay. Jasmine at the front desk is downright fantastic. So friendly and sooooo helpful.

    Great beds

    The bed was so comfortable. The hotel us basically quiet. The outdoor dog area really needs to get cleaned up And some grass needs to get added.

    Good little hotel

    Everything was perfect except the cleaning people left food in the refrigerator from the last people who stayed. Other than that it was was nice and clean with no odors of animals in the hotel.

    Ok stay

    The front desk attending was very friendly and helpful. However, the room itself wasn’t great. It was a nonsmoking room but stunk of smoke. No comforter, just a top sheet. No ice bucket. Hair dryer was broken and smelled like plastic burning when I tried to use it.

    Best EVER!!

    Staff is friendly. No extra fee for pets and allows you to leave well behaved pets in the room while you go shopping, gamble, or tour the strip. The hotel is clean and the backyard space is perfect for pets to go potty and head back in for sleep. Large space and fit our 25 lb doggie well. Location is within driving distance of the strip. Highly recommend!!!

    Very nice hotel, just do not take room by breakfast

    The room was very nice, the staff was great and helped me with a messed up reservation. We were happy this was not in a smoke filled casino. Everything was nice and clean. The breakfast was great - but right outside our room so noise started at 6:00 am with breakfast set up. It continued with those nice waffle makers which beep quite loudly each time a waffle is made! I gave four bones only for that. Everything else was five. Avoid a room by the breakfast area you'll be fine. Staff helped us know where to park on the strip. Very friendly place.

    Great stay.

    Nice that pups were made to feel at home, the hotel was close to our planned venue and the room was perfect with microwave and refrigerator. Staff all very friendly. Grounds could use some love , but we would definitely stay again!

    Surrounded by other Pet Owners

    Everyone was wonderful and we felt comfortable having our dog in the hotel with us. Too bad one spoiled apple can ruin the whole barrel. The people next door to us left their dog in the room while they went to dinner and it barked and scratched at the door the whole time they were gone. The desk called us as others had complained. Those dog owners could make the hotel no longer pet friendly for the rest of us. Be respectful of the rules and neighbors! Only one complaint, no grass area, but it is Las Vegas, and never any poop bags in the dispenser. Not sure why that gave the pet owners the permission to leave poop there and not pick it up after their dog.

    Poor Hotel for dogs and people

    When we arrived, unlike all the other BringFido hotels, the staff did not greet them, did not pay any attention to them at all or give the biscuits or other gifts that the other BringFido hotels did. This hotel was disappointing, but to top it off for the people issue,. we had no internet, the TV worked intermittently and we had no room key for one half the time at the hotel requiring us to go ring the bill for staff to go into our room. The area in this hotel is questionable at best -- if a women was travelling with pets by herself, I would not recommend this hotel for safety reasons. Would not recommend this hotel at all -- it is worlds away from the other BringFido hotels we have stayed at in the last 18 months.

    Great Customer Service

    First of all, BringFido customer service went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. I had emails and phone calls letting us know about a change in pet policy that they were unaware of. Which is wonderful, so there were no surprises when arriving at the hotel.
    Second, the staff at the hotel was more than welcoming and accommodating to us and our pups. They made sure we were on the ground floor, nears the door to the pet “relief” area. They didn’t mind if the dogs were left in the room, as long as the front desk had a number to reach us at in the event the dogs were barking too much.
    The pet “relief” area is gravel on the side of the building, and poo bags were provided. (Unfortunately, some dog owners didn’t use them. But that’s not the hotels fault).
    Overall, the hotel had everything we needed for a quick stop over night.
    It’s location makes it convenient to get back on the freeway or go to the strip.

    Amazing Time

    Incredibly kind staff. Our pitbull/mastiff mix was very welcome, despite being a very big (if gentle) boy! You have to walk a bit to find grass for walks, but that's a Vegas issue everywhere.

    Wonderful Staff, Great Experience

    My pup and I felt right at home, right away. The hotel is clean and the location is so convenient. Nice little breakfast in the morning. Each staff member I encountered went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent stay.

    Clean and friendly

    I was very surprised how clean this hotel was. I felt like this hotel was very responsible in price especially being a dog friendly hotel. The room I stayed in was large and clean. The hotel over all was clean and quiet. I was thrilled to find out that they offered a variety of free breakfast options like waffles, eggs, cereal, bagels and toast. I will definitely be staying here again even if I don’t bring my dog.

    Love this hotel

    Stayed here two times and both times were great. Clean, friendly and good breakfast in the morning. Was at the airport North La Quinta and it was horrific. Checked out early and came to Tropicana because I had stayed there before. Very happy we made the change.

    No real dog area

    We found our room tiny and the outdoor area for pets just gravel and very small. This facility lacked valet carts for luggage ... just one small cart.
