Creekside Getaway
“Creekside Getaway” is a gulf-access, fully appointed, turn-key, utilities/maint incl, no-smoke/vape, family pool (heated in high season) home on .85 acres at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, backing to Powell Creek - a 15 min boat ride to the Caloosahatchee River. Tons of trees and other vegetation make this quiet location seem remote and private. 3 Miles or less to historic, lively downtown Fort Myers, your favorite restaurants, entertainment and shopping. 25 minutes to beaches and SW Florida Int’l Airport.
1,476 square feet under central air. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2-car attached garage (3 total off-street parking spaces). Large, covered and fenced rear lanai with large patio table/chairs and BBQ grill overlooking a fenced (w/ child proof gates), 20,000 gallon pool, which is heated as necessary to maintain 84 degree water during the high season.
Turnkey (except food and other consumables), neat as a pin, fully appointed and furnished (linens included). No need to bring anything except your clothes and yourself. Rental rates quoted include all utilities (up to $250/mo for electric when pool heater is off and $325/mo when pool heater in use - and up to $50/mo for water), plus Xfinity expanded basic cable, which includes a variety of ethnic and sports programming, 800 Mbps high-speed Internet and home-wide Wi-Fi for working remote or streaming your favorite movies. Rent also includes lawn/garden maintenance, pest control and pool maintenance. To ensure we maintain a clean and safe living environment, professional, comprehensive move-out cleaning (client expense - $250 - more if extra time is required, or if there are pet occupants) is required, as are periodic cleanings depending on length of stay (also at client expense - $175 - more if extra time is required - once every 30 days minimum, unless client requires more frequent visits).
100% tile floors (no carpet, except small throw rugs), open design between living room with new 65” smart TV, kitchen with stainless steel appliances, breakfast bar and dining room. Split floorplan; master suite on one side and 2 bedrooms on the other. Large master bedroom with king-size Nectar memory foam bed, 55” smart TV, desk/chair, en suite bath with large, walk-in shower and walk-in closet. Bedroom #2 features a queen-size Nectar memory foam bed and a 46” smart TV. Bedroom #3 has 2 twin XL pillow-top beds and a desk/chair, but no TV. These two bedrooms share a full, hall bath with a deep-soaking tub and shower.

Guests should also be aware that we have cameras on every corner of the house, as well as a doorbell camera on the front door (exterior only). They are there for your and my security. Upon request, during your stay, you will be provided 100% access to cameras so that you see everything that can be seen remotely and will be able to arm/disarm the security system. It will be as simple as using your smartphone. Please also note: The camera on the SW corner of the home sees approx 3 feet of the south side of the pool (left side when looking from lanai to pool). The cam on the NW corner can see the extreme, northwest corner of the pool (it sees the pool from the pool ladder to the pool cover (when rolled up on the reel), which sits on the extreme west end of the pool). The reasons they look at just a small portion of the pool at all are; to ensure the pool cover is used in the winter time (saves lots of money on electricity!), and, the other reason is that the mounts that were used for those two cameras do not have enough adjustment in them to remove the pool completely.
Low season (off-peak; May 16 - Oct 7) rate: $115/night. High season (peak; Oct 8 through May 15) rate: $145-170/night depending on month (message for more info). Rates are subject to change without notice.
In addition to the above-mentioned expenses, the State of Florida requires payment of a short-term rental tax of 11.5% of the rent (for stays less than 6 mo + 1 day), which will be in addition to rent shown above (FYI, we will add one day to any 6 month stay and pass this savings on to our client).
For stays of 1-2 months, the total amount of rent, plus cleaning fee(s), refundable damage/security deposit (equal to 1/2 month rent), or a non-refundable damage/liability insurance policy ($49 - $99/month cost, in lieu of a large damage/security deposit), short-term rental tax (11.5% of rent due), end of stay Covid-19 cleaning $250.00, plus one interim clean every 30 days $150.00, and whatever service fee charges by the booking portal, must be paid 30 days in advance of the beginning of your rental period begin date. For stays of 3-6 months, 2 months rent, cleaning fee(s), refundable damage deposit (equal to 1 one month rent), or a non-refundable damage/liability insurance policy ($79/mo cost, in lieu of a large damage/security deposit), short-term rental tax (11.5% of rent due), end of stay Covid-19 cleaning $250.00, plus one interim clean every 30 days $150.00, and whatever service fee charges by the booking portal, must be paid 30 days in advance of the beginning of your rental period begin date, with subsequent months due/payable 30 days prior to the beginning of that month. Refunds will be allowed per the rules of the web portal you use to make the reservation; i.e., AirBNB, VRBO, etc.
Bring your pet family members with you (conditional - ask host). Minimum $250 non-refundable pet fee will apply (this fee goes to the extra cleaning and sanitization typically involved – please do your own poop scooping – extra charges will apply if not). The non-refundable pet fee is applicable for up to 2 pets only at the sole discretion of owner/host/landlord.
Max number of occupants, including guests up to seven (7) days only, shall not exceed 2 persons per bedroom. Max number of occupants who are parties to the lease is capped at 6; up to 4 adults and up to 2 children - special circumstances considered - ask host. Max number of vehicles allowed to park off-street (sorry, no on-street parking allowed) shall be up to 3 total, regular-sized vehicles, inside the garage and outside on the driveway. Guests are welcome for up to 7 days with advance notice and approval, but max number of occupants may not be exceeded. Additional, nightly, per-person charges will apply to my guest-count over 6 and to any overnight guests of my guests who stay 7 days or less.
