  Great Value

  We had a 1st floor room, making it easy to bring our dog in & out. The room was spacious enough & had a microwave and fridge. Shower was great but bathroom fan was loud & went on automatically with the light. Some of the furniture was worn but beds were clean & comfortable. Easy on & off highway. Good value for an overnight while traveling with our dog.

  Pretty disgusting. Owners don't pick up after their dogs. Someone threw up outside our door.

  Not a Pleasant Stay

  Coffee maker not clean. Only decaf in the room. Had to walk down to front desk to request regular coffee. Woman unfriendly while another ignored me looking through a magazine. When I arrived the night before, lobby door locked with sign directing us to a security window. So impersonal. Woman gave me key to a smokers room. As I started to walk to main office, met the woman. I told her about room smelling like smoke. She opened room next door. It was better. She told me to come to office later to get new key. (You can't bring me the key?) I guess if you want a dog friendly hotel at $100 pet night in Wilkes-Barre, PA that's what you get.

  Good stay

  Great location near Wilkes Barre. Rooms were small but clean with modern fixtures. A grass perimeter provided a modest pet relief area and bags were available for pick up. Free coffee in the morning was delicious. Price and convenience made this a good stop for weary travelers, human and canine.

  For a quick overnight everything was fine. Clean, and they put us on first floor to ease in taking dogs out.

  Adequate

  Good location. Room was updated. Good for one night stay. Have stayed there before with no issues. The particular room we had this time did have a cat urine smell. Would stay again in hopes of getting a different room.

  Location was perfect for us

  Rooms were clean and odor free. Would absolutely stay there again as the lower priced ones in Scranton are hideous. But we really were pleasantly surprised how nice this one is.

  Bare Bones hotel

  We reserved a Superior room, and it was bargain-basement at best. There was no lobby, just a window to interface with the hotel clerk. The room was pretty clean, though, and the bed was okay. Wouldn't recommend.

  Ok for the price

  To start, we had to find the office & which door to enter. We had to stand in a freezing small room & talk to a woman behind a glass, sliding papers and cards under it. As if we were in a bank. The woman was friendly but more interested in talking to another women there than us. The rooms are on the smaller side but not too bad. When the bathroom door is open, the place to hang clothes is behind it. The fan turns on with the bathroom light and was extremally loud and obnoxious. The place could have been a little cleaner. We were traveling from FL to NY and needed a good nights sleep. We didn't want to pay much so we decided to check this place out. You get what you pay for. If you aren't too fussy, you won't have any issues with the rooms.

  Beautifully Maintained Grounds

  Older hotel, but very clean. Tiny adequate room. No frills, inexpensive. Very clean and quiet.

  Inexpensive, adequate motel, good for dog

  This Red Roof Inn was convenient from I-81 and by far the best price of available pet-friendly hotels/motels on a busy weekend. The room was clean, but very minimal/basic as far as furnishings go. The floor was vinyl with a rug between the two full size beds, which works well for a dog. Even though we arrived late (with reservations) we were able to park directly outside our ground-floor room. There was a fridge so we could unload our small cooler and refreeze the ice packs. The shower heated quickly and water pressure was good. Not luxury accommodations for humans - but generally quite convenient and very easy for getting a dog in and out. If it were possible I'd give it a 3.5, but for being a very good price and good for dogs I'm rounding up.

  Good and bad

  The room was clean, the shower was great, the fridge and microwave were a help. The price was very reasonable. That said, we did not feel physically safe because of the facility's location. Also, there was inadequate space on or near the property to exercise our dog.

  Perfect room to stay with the dog. Very basic, clean, wood floor, place to potty and the mattress was comfortable.

  Was perfect for what we needed

  In a long drive from Long Island NY to Geneva OH needed a affordable, clean and safe place to stay with the 3 puppies. This was perfect… everyone had a good night sleep and there was plenty of area for the puppies to do their business.

  The two ladies a the desk were super nice and the rooms were really nice for the price. There is plenty of places for your dog to relieve themselves, overall a nice experience.

  Great for the low price!

  This hotel wasn't fancy, but was clean and well kept. It was a good location, just off the highway. There were many nearby restaurants but we chose to get a pizza delivered. Red Roof is unusual in that it doesn't charge extra for a pet, so our dog was happy to stay in the room with us!

  Clean but very very old. Needs urgent refreshing. No breakfast available. Laminated flooring (Great for dogs. Very few hotels offer those).

  Quiet, clean & comfy

  After a long day of driving home from Portland to our home in White Marsh MD we decided to stopover for the night in PA but didn't want to spend a fortune so I found a room for $58. We had our golden with us and he stayed for free plus they were even nice enough to give us a ground floor room which makes puppy potty breaks much easier. Our room was on the small side but perfect for us with a comfy king size bed and flat screen tv (you can opt for a room that has a fridge & microwave but we just needed a place to sleep). We were in Room 118 and it was very quiet and peaceful- never heard anyone beside or above us and the place was fairly full. We would definitely stay here again as we travel to PA often to visit friends.

  Only Allows Dogs 50lbs And Under

  This hotel has changed its policy and now only allows dogs that are 50lbs and under. If you have a bigger dog like me, try finding another place!

  Clean, new, convenient location

  Very modern, clean and comfortable motel. Good value and right next to the highway. Pets accepted "no bones about it".
