        Won't go back

Reserved a room with a view . Well In advance. They new I was bringing a dog too. Called the night before and confirmed dog and all. I got a first floor room over looking the parking lot. The manger did not care. She said she dropped the price down to room without a view. I told her I would not have stayed if I hadn't found out when I got here. She didn't seem to care. Then I told her that it smelled like mold she said I am sorry you feel that way! Old ratty carpet staff not personable.

Nice place to stay with dogs in Charleston

We stayed with our two dogs (medium-large mixed breeds). The hotel was very nice and clean, staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a very nice, convenient place to stay in Charleston with our two "furry four legged kids", and we greatly appreciate such pet friendly properties, 'cuz we travel with our dogs! We found ample space around the property for dog walks, and nearby (walk to it) California Dreaming restaurant was very good, and allows dogs on the patio where there is a great view, and they'll even bring water for your dogs! :)

        Overnight Sensation

We stopped on our way from Florida to Cape Cod to visit friends who live in Charleston. The hotel was very welcoming to us and our Golden Retriever. The rooms were clean and the staff very pleasant. Would stop again next time in Charleston.

        one night stay

everything was great, except for the fact that the bed was way too high for my 12 year old Lab to jump up on! the staff was extremely friendly and the location was great for the dogs, with the park right across the street.

        24 Hour Visit

We chose Charleston, SC as a stop over from our trip from Savannah, GA. The staff was excellent. Very interested in our 2 chocolate labs. They gave them a treat everytime they saw them. The view was of the maintenance bldg. and the Hardees next door so nothing to rave about there. The park across the street was nice. We took the pups there to stretch and the park even has an area for them to be off their leash so that they can get some excercise. It is about 10 minutes from downtown so I don't know that I would say it is downtown. It is on the outskirts of the historic city. Easy drive and parking was plentiful on Friday when we went to the historic district. The breakfast that is offered as part of your stay is basically coffee/juice/bagles and danish. Not bad for something quick. All in all it was a good experience.

        Good for a Short Visit

Our trip to Charleston was less than 24 hours so this was a great place for us to stay. Our pup was accepted and no breed questions were asked which is always nice. View is of some parking lots and the bridge is the way distance but the room was clean and comfy. No dog treat for our dog either. Thought it was a little pricey for being so far from the "older" and more "historic" part of Charleston

        Charleston visit

This was the best pet friendly hotel we have stayed in...and we travel with our dog quite frequently! The staff was so friendly and our pet never got through the lobby without a greeting and a bone!! We felt comfortable leaving for dinner knowing that someone would call us if our dog was upset.
Our only issue was with some noise from the "storage room" directly below our window. But it was addressed when we spoke with management.
We would certainly return for another visit!!

        Great weekend

Positive marks for everything except our view from the room, but who stays in the room. Our dogs thought the large windows were doors though. The staff were great, the beds slept great and the restruant, Amalfi's had really tasty food reasonablly priced. Our room was clean and up to date. The park across the street was peaceful and had a beautiful view at sunset over the Ashley River. We would definitely stay there again. It was easy to get downtown and Charleston is a pet-friendly town. We called maintenance once and he was there in 4-5 minutes and solved our simple problem with ease.

        eh.

We were actually laughing at the hotel's description of "beautiful views of the city or river from every room." Our view was of the dumpster and a Hardees. The hotel itself was a convenient location, the room was teeny, but clean. Our dog was never offered a dog treat and when housekeeping was called for an extra pillow their reply was "if we can find an extra." All that aside, the bed was not comfortable which was ultimately the deciding factor of never staying there again.

        Awesome

This hotel was great!! I have never had such a good night sleep, and my dog was treated like a king. The staff was very friendly and courteous, have already recommended this hotel to 2 of my friends

Mom to Abigail & Marino (pugs)

The staff could not have been nicer to us - and our dogs! Someone even came to the car to say hello while my husband checked us in. They told us it was no problem to leave the dogs in our room while we went to dinner and even took our cell phone numbers in case the dogs became 'distressed' while we were out. Very thoughtful! Thanks so much for making it easy to travel with our 'kids'.
