At first the check-in person was not friendly and said she never saw the Aussie or Shetland sheepdog before and questioned as if they were aggressive dogs and called in the manager; this caused me tremendous anxiety. They are emotional support dogs with papers. She Googled in front of me are Australian shepherds aggressive. The manager came out and said they are not a problem at all and we were welcome. We stayed to our selves from then on AND HAD AN AWESOME TIME. I will go back!! I loved that place. Thank you!

We will be back!! Very dog friendly!! Our room was spacious and clean! The one thing I wish the hotel had for my cavy is real grass in the potty area instead of turf. Our other dog did fine on the turf. They did have an area beside the hotel you could walk your dog to!

I just wish my dogs LIKE other dogs! I’ve never been anywhere else where there were SO MANY DOGS!! I was in Dog Heaven! But yet it was so peaceful. So quiet. Dogs not keeping you up at night or waking you up too early. No messes! The owners (or resort employees!) kept the place CLEAN! Now, this wasn’t the Taj Mahal or anything. It was ADEQUATE. But a 2.5 type place. Nothing fancy. But we came here for the beach! 1.7 miles from a State Park that was phenom! Just enough away from crowds for peace. But close enough for food delivery. We WILL be back!

Excellent stay for people with dogs. Very pet friendly and has area for dogs to do their business! Great ocean views and can walk dog right on the beach from resort. Furology staff were very friendly and helpful!

Furology put together a welcome package with treats and poop bags and dispenser. BE SURE TO BOOK THROUGH BRINGFIDO! They guarantee you won’t run into any unwanted surprises that sometimes come with traveling with a pup. Our room was nice, clean and spacious. Because of COVID, there were no luggage carts available. There is a 40lb weight limit for your pup. Ours may have been a smidge over.

The people who work there were very helpful and friendly. There is a large dog rest area in the underground garage with mulch and turf. The building itself is worn out and having to ask for towels and trash bags was awkward. The pools and hot tubs and parking were all good. I would stay in a different area of Myrtle Beach next time, but the ability to be oceanfront with our pet was priceless.

My fiance and I was looking forward to our ocean view room for months. The fact that the hotel was dog friendly sold us. Big mistake! This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.. or should I say attempted to stay at. When we arrived it was very transparent we were going to have issues. There was several other guests waiting to check in and very unhappy. The lobby was so hot and no air conditioning. It smelled and looked dirty. Our room wasn't ready yet so we waited by the pool and enjoyed the ocean breeze. The front desk said they would call when our room was ready but after 40 minutes of waiting past check in time we were concerned so we went in to find that many other people were unable to get their room as well. We asked and they had to call house keeping several times to confirm if our room was clean. We finally got our room keys and headed to the elevator that shook the whole way up to the 11th floor and the door almost didn't open. I was horrified! Also it felt like a sauna in there, I could barely breathe. I know it's just an elevator but come on. The lights barely worked in there even. We got to our room and the door was propped open which had us a little worried. Immediately we were heartbroken. The room smelled of mold and it felt nasty just to stand in there. I took my shoes off to change my clothes and the carpet felt WET! I felt bad my pup even had to walk on the carpet. The bed had stains and everything was sticky and dirty. The view from the balcony was the only nice thing about the room. I was literally in tears. I couldn't stay here. I have asthma and once I seen the black mold on the ceiling I was done. I wanted out of there asap!! finally told him this place is disgusting and I want to leave! He took my keys and said ok. Ok? Really.. great customer service.. NOT! I wish I could give zero bones for the rating but I guess since I have to give at least one I'll say they are definitely pet friendly and we were given a bag of dog treats and a nice holder with a roll of doggie poop bags inside. I highly discourage anyone from staying here! We ended up at the La Quinta down the road and it was very nice. Saved our vacation!

Great winter stay with our furry baby . It’s so nice to have a resort that treats our pup like a member of our family .Staff extremely friendly ,as we walk by they say hi to our pup Tomi which makes us feel good They have activities that include ourself and our pup It’s a older hotel with many upgrades happening right now . Management and staff are doing an excellent job in making this a great spot for us to bring our four legged family member. Great job Ocean Park Resort

This hotel was great.I loved it and so did my little mini schnauzer(Moses).The room and bed was clean and smelled fresh.We were oceanfront on floor eight and had a beautiful view.Moses enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the people on the beach.The staff was friendly and gave us a treat bag with pick up baggies.The doggie area was clean.I would recommend this hotel and we would stay there again.
