Nicknamed ‘Surf City USA’ by the locals, this strand is home to several annual dog events, including the Surf City Surf Dog Competition. The event attracts four-legged competitors from around the world, seeking the title of canine surfing champion. Whether your pooch wants to ride a board or just romp leash-free on the sand, Huntington Beach is the place for some fun in the sun.
