Dr. Sanders is the best and most loving and caring vet. In Anderson

I had exhaulted all options when my love of my life and old girl Zeevah and pyrometra. And I had taken her to Magnolia animal hospital for them to tell me that I had an extremely sick dog on my hands and it was going to cost me in the ballpark of 2500.00 to save her. And this was money I did not have and because of that they wouldn't do the surgery she needed to continue her life. So I left feeling like because I wasn't well endowed that I had let the one and only one that had been by my side day in day out good days bad days and had never let me down, totally down and in the worst way! Every one I turned to for help it was the same thing thousands or no help! So as a last chance at some sort of hope I went to paws to speak with the Vet. therefor help. There was a wonderfully nice and understanding young lady behind the counter who jumped rite into attempting to make my Zeevah an appointment to see their Vet. But when in trying to do so an older lady with the worst nasty attitude decided to be nosey and proceed to stand behind this young lady and began questioning her to make it short the young lady apologized to me rite before the older rude and obnoxious woman handed me a buisness card and told me I had to call the number on the card and someone would usually get in touch with me within 3 weeks time. But my Zeevah didn't have 3 weeks to wait! So I went home with my own rail tucked between my legs. Once home I sat and just stared at the card thinking it's useless no need in even dialing the number I lost my zeevah now for sure! And my conscious told me that if I didn't at least call the number and leave my message then I still hadn't done my very best in trying to get help from her! So I did! And miraculously Dr. Sanders returned my call immediatly and asked if I could bring Zeevah rite then! And naturally I did just that! Dr. Sanders assessed my Zeevah and came out to inform me that she could and would do the surgery but it was going to be extremely risky 1. Because of her age 2. Because of her weight! and I understood and agreed and then explained to Dr.Sanders I didn't have thousands that the surgery was gonna cost to be done I only had 200 dollars to my name but she was more than welcome to it to just try and make my Zeevah better somehow because I couldn't loose her yet! ( this was just before Christmas of 2022!) I was informed that I would have to leave her over night and Dr.Sanders would be in touch the following day to update me and go from there. I was terrified I had never been away from my zeevah not even for 1 day much less night and she was looking at going on 12 years old! I got no sleep. Next day my zeevah had pulled through and was doing great just missing moma. And when I returned to get my Zeevah and take her home to heal and recover I had asked Ms.Sanders how much i owed her for giving me my zeevah for even more years to come and I was told in return NOTHING! I was even asked if I needed and dog food for her or anything else of the sorts as to which we were fine in all those departments! Maybe a little more than fine in the treat department!😊 and after all the many back and forth hand shakes and so many that yous rite before walking out to leave I turned once more to offer one last hand shake and was accepted except this time my hand had the 200 folded within it and when our hands clapsed I told her thank you.from the bottom of my heart and she withdrew her hand and noticed the money and tried to give it back and I refused and said it was the least I could do for saving my zeevah! And to put it in her pocket or consider It a donation it was up to her to Make that decision but I had made mine and it was the rite one! Yall this woman was put here by the most uprite highest power! A very wonderful generous and gracious caring lady. And cares about the actual animal and not how much money the animal can put in her pockets! Love you Dr.Sanders and Zeevah says HI AND THANKS ONCE AGAIN FOR CARING!

    Dedicated to the pets!

We’ve adopted multiple times through PAWS and have only had the best experiences. We know we can go tell them about our current pack and lifestyle and they’ll know who will fit in. We’ve also fostered multiple times for them and done transports.

    Love P.A.W.S.

I have nothing but kind words to say about this place. I have adopted a pitbull and a kitten from here and it was the best decision I could have made. They rescued my dog Milo (formally Crayton) from horrible conditions. He weighed 45 lbs and had practically no hair at all. They assured me that it was all from neglect and nothing that could be contracted from my other 2 dogs and 3 cats. He now weighs 95 lbs and has a full shiny coat. He is amazing thanks to the friendly and caring staff at P.A.W.S. They are very nice and helpful and want what is best for their animals. I highly recommend if searching for your new furrever baby!

    Awful staff

Went looking for a new puppy and treated like garbage by an employee named Cheyanne. She was in the middle of yelling at another employee when I walked in and acted as if it was a chore to help me. I asked to speak to her supervisor named Britney. Might as well have been talking to a brick wall. I will never recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I plan to go out of my way to encourage people to stay away from these awful people.

Are not to eager to help or adopt out

There are some here at the Anderson Co. SC P.A.W.S. that are very friendly and helpful, but; there are others that are just rude when calling for information on an animal and just act as if they do not care if they get adopted or not; not friendly and not eager at all to try and help you find the perfect pet for you or a family member. It's honestly sad too because of the number of pets there that need good homes and because of overcrowding. I do believe that not everyone needs or deserves a pet companion, but thise that do, need to be treated kindly upon wanting information about a pet companion. Step it up P.A.W.S. no one wants a happy and exciting time to be a rude and uncaring experience!
