DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE

Absolute WORST experience ever with dog daycare. I took my two dogs to their daycare assessment and Sonia was friendly at first. She let my dogs in the back room along with my mom and I. She said she wanted them to get them acquainted with the area. After less than 2 minutes of being in the room, she let all of her dogs into the room with us WITHOUT WARNING. My mom and I grabbed my dogs because they can be protective of me with other dogs in the room.

Her demeanor immediately changed. We were immediately told to "get out" and that I couldnt be trusted. She had asked no information about my dogs and how they are with other dogs prior to letting her dogs into the room. She blamed it on me for not letting her know I shouldn't be in the room for testing, even though this all happened within less than 5 minutes of arriving.

She only had a spray bottle to interrupt any conflicts between the dogs and she could barely move around due to what looked like a knee injury. She was using profane language and she was incredibly rude and unnecessarily angry. She didn't even give my dogs a chance to be tested when I wasn't around. She continued to tell me that its a cage free environment and that I need to read the website before I consider bring my dogs back. I had read the website multiple times, but checked it to ensure I hadnt missed anything. It says how dogs that aren't great with other dogs are welcome and can be fixed using Caesar Milan's techniques and that a 6 hour assessment occurs prior to being accepted into daycare. [Note: her website was modified immediately after posting this review.]

I have never heard of ANY dog training facility allowing one pack of dogs to be immediately introduced into another, simply by releasing all the dogs into a confined area. Her knowledge of claiming to use Caesar Milans techniques is nonexistent.

On an article titled a New Member of the Pack, Caesar states:

"The number one rule when bringing a new dog into a household that already has dogs is to do it gradually. The worst mistake people can make when adding a new pack member is to just bring the dog into the house. To the dogs that were already there, this is an intrusion on their territory by a stranger. To the new dog, being thrust into an unknown environment leaves it without any rules to follow or boundaries to respect.

"This method of introduction is the formula for disaster. Do it this way, and you’ll wind up with a pack that fights, competes over everything, and is generally not fun to deal with."

Sonia has no clue how to work with dogs or how to introduce them into a new environment. We have found a significant number of reviews saying the owner is rude, mistreats/neglects dogs, and only cares about the money.

PLEASE read other reviews prior to using this place for your dogs. As you sift through reviews on facebook, google, and topix, you will realize theres a lot of people who have had very negative encounters with Puppy Luv Farms.
