DOBER, Inc. (Dreaming of Better Endings Rescue) is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to rescue and rehome displaced dogs, with a focus on Doberman Pinschers and with a special emphasis on making distinct matches between dogs and adoptive families. We do this by comprehensively evaluating the dogs and carefully screening their potential adopters, and then matching them up in our endeavor to provide each dog with a forever home. We employ our best efforts to restore and protect the image of this very special breed and are committed to helping those in need, regardless of age, appearance, or health, often focusing on seniors and special needs dogs. Additionally, we offer hospice care to those dogs that are not likely candidates for adoption due to medical conditions. We also seek to serve as a resource to the community by guiding those in need to resources and assistance, as well as by educating the public about the Doberman Pinscher breed and about responsible pet guardianship, the importance of rescue groups, and the misconceptions surrounding pet adoption and rescue dogs.
