Doggy daycare and boarding facility. Not a kennel facility. We only accept dog-friendly dogs because of our open (non-kennel) accommodations. Visiting dogs will share our home with our dogs Micah, our free-spirited sheltie and Lucy, our playful Shih Tzu mix. Our two cats named Sam and Shy-lo also wander around the premises.

Great Reliable and Flexible Care for our Pooch
My partner and I had a great experience using Acadia Pet Services for our dog. We stayed at a large house with family that did not allow pets. Acadia pet services was less than 15 minute drive from the house. We dropped off and picked up our dog each day. Each day we picked him up at times that were convenient to us to go on hikes/swims/outings. The owners only asked that we call ahead to give them a heads up that we were coming to pick up/drop off. Each night our dog slept with the owners on their bed, we know this is true because they called him a "bed hog" which he definitely is! The outdoor area for the dogs was large and well maintained. All of the dogs in their care seemed happy and well-adjusted. We felt our dog was well cared for in their home. We will be returning to Acadia Pet Services in the future if we rent a home that does not allow dogs. Also - pricing is very fair - especially compared to boarding costs/daycare costs we're used to in Boston.

DO NOT GO HERE!
I made a reservation for my one dog for daycare as he cannot do the hikes etc due to old age. I had a confirmation from him that we would arrive sometime after 10am and pick up by 7pm after dinner. I specifically told him that we do not know what time we will be able to drop him off but it would be after 10, which he said was fine. We went to drop him off at 12 (2 hours later) and when we arrived was told that we did not arrive BY 10 so he took another dog instead and could not take our dog! He had our contact information and could have contacted us if he was concerned. He stressed that he has had no-shows in the past and this is how he makes his living. If he is so concerned, then I suggest he take a deposit (with paypal and other technology this is very easy to do). Instead, he left us on vacation with plans that we could not fulfill because he gave away our reservation without even notifying us. He was very unprofessional and I highly recommend using Acadia Woods Kennel instead. They are very professional with very good rates and they were able to take our dog last minute without any issue.
