    Rude and dishonest staff members

Extremely disappointed with the care they provided for my dog at this location. My dog was not seen on camera very often and wouldn't be posted on their FB page, when I questioned them they always told me it's because my dog was eating lunch, so I guess they only take pics during lunch. I am sure my dog was kennelled a lot more than they wanted to admit, cameras usually don't lie!

My dog would come home with pretty large gashes and when I would ask about it the next time I dropped my dog off they would try and tell me it wasn't from their facility. This was the only facility that my dog went and my dog was not ever around another animal besides at Camp Bow Wow in Salt Lake.

Sometimes you wonder if it's a dog daycare or a kid daycare, they always seem to have their kids there and the office space doesn't look clean what so ever and makes me wonder how sanitary the place is overall.

Their own corporate office will tell you that the "manager" is rude and unprofessional and they aren't joking when they say that. When her story changes multiple times and you have to call their corporate office you find out that over half of the stuff [the manager] says is false information. With as rude as she is I can understand why they filter through employees so quickly.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT take your dog to this location!

    Great place!

My dog and I love coming to camp bow wow. The staff is always friendly and it doesn’t smell like pee like most dog places do.

They are very transparent and honest. If my dog has a bad day they tell me. Which I very much appreciate.

I love the camper cams as well, they give me peace of mind when leaving my fur baby in their care.

I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow!

My daughter's dog was murdered at this facility

Do not risk your pet at Camp Bow wow. My daughter's healthy, 3 year old golden doodle, was murdered by employee(s) at the SLC location. He was fed pot to the extent that he died of THC toxicity. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE

    Dead Dog

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! My sister's dog just died from a THC overdose after being left in their care! He was only 3 years old.

    Time timeline of events:
1pm Saturday - Dog spent 1 on 1 time with employee.

4pm Saturday - camp bow wow reported he was acting strange.

Sunday morning - when my sister arrived back to town she picked him up and knew something was seriously wrong so took him to the ER.

Sunday afternoon - Veterinarian diagnoses him with THC overdose.

Late Sunday night - he's been stabilized and sent home. He has to weather out a severe high

Monday morning - his heart starts racing and suddenly stops.

He died because an employee of Camp Bow Wow brought pot to work!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!

I wish I could give zero stars!!!!

Please read my experience with camp bow wow. Below are FACTS! DO NOT bring your pups here!

They lost my paperwork multiple times! 3 times is too many times for me to have to fill out paperwork.

Aubrie told me she was the manager and she didn’t have anyone above her that she reports to. When I asked why her card says “assistant manager” she then refused to give me any other info of anyone else to call.

My dog was there for over 24 hours and only was given 1/2 of ONE of her feedings. When we called to see how she was doing we were told she was doing great and has been eating great.

My dog was only seen on camera 2 times in the whole time she was there. Camera was consistently checked every hour!

Camp bow wow employees not call me or my emergency contact! Aubrie told me they called me and left a vm but my vm isn’t and never has been set up. They lied!

I asked to see proof of whether my dog was out and about with the other dogs and Aubrie told me she couldn’t show me. She had to talk to her other managers first to see if it was okay.

Only bring your dog here if you want them to be neglected and starved for their stay! I am still waiting on a call back from anyone to resolve this issue!

Be wary of leaving your dog here

My dog had a very unpleasant stay here. I wish I could give more details as to what exactly happened but they have changed or miscommunicated the story 3 different times (all drastically different) so I don’t know what to believe.

DO NOT BRING HIGH ENERGY DOGS HERE

Camp Bow Wow is NOT a place for high energy dogs. The staff is overall friendly and they have big boarding kennels. However if you have a high energy dog take them somewhere else.

-unorganized, you might not get your stuff back due to a mix up or it may be destroyed and given back to you with no explanation of why the item has been destroyed.

-do not allow high energy dogs to release all of their energy, as promised all over their website.

-will use cookie cutter “bad dog” behaviors that you or trainer that’s has worked with your dog since he was a puppy has never seen exhibited from your dog as an excuse if they do not want your dog to come back unless “corrected” by their trainer (when you ask for the behavior one employee will tell you one thing and another will tell you something on the opposite of the spectrum)

    -breed shames

-has way too many dogs at once

-poor communication with owners. You have to call them to figure out why your dog is being put in his kennel all day.

I don't want to be that lady that thinks her dog can do no wrong, but I think they are just not equipped to handle high energy dogs or at least they don’t want to. I get that you are a business and you don’t want to come out and say “we can’t handle high energy dogs” because you would lose money and your whole business model is that dogs get to play with other dogs, but please find a different way of telling the owners instead of making up a behavior for the dog.
