  Do not leave your pet at the pet hotel!

  Our dog has been vomiting and having diarrhea ever since staying at the Pet Hotel at the Woodruff Road location. When I called to see if their vet would see him since he has been very sick since staying there, the manager was right beside the employee who answered the phone and would not even speak with me. She had the employee deny any responsibility on their end and tell me that if we wanted their vet to see him, we would have to make an appointment and that we would still be responsible for paying the fees for the vet. Do not let your pets stay here!

  Neglect resulting in death - DO NOT USE THEM!!!

  The staff at this location on Woodruff road in Greenville, SC killed my 2 year old dachshund Penelope in May 2021. They neglected my two dogs that were in an upgraded private suite for 8 days. When they noticed diarrhea in the room, they separated them for 24 hours to see which one was sick. They took my boy Archie to banfield as they identified it has him that was not feeling well. He got meds and went back to boarding. Seemed like no problem until I got a call the following day that said ‘Oh it wasn’t Archie that was sick, it’s Penelope and we are taking her to the emergency vet’.

  By the time she got there she was so severely dehydrated she died. Petsmart’s settlement company that investigated the case said that she was eating and drinking and playing fine up until they took her in, and that Upstate Emergency vet must have written down all incorrect information at intake AND that the staff gave me incorrect information over the phone. LIES to cover what they did. They neglected and killed my baby girl.

  Never Using Them Again

  We have always used PetSmart and never had a problem. Well, we just let her there over the weekend. I got a call while on vacation and they said they were not able to control my dog and she had to go into time out. Well I have a huge Saint Bernard so I understand she can be hyper and hard to handle sometimes. Well when I picked her up apparently "time out" meant ignoring her for the rest of the stay. She had not been fed that day, she was covered in urine, and she had a huge cut on the back on her neck. I was raving in anger and they still made me pay for the entire thing. The lady even argued with me when I used a $5 coupon. I use to praise PetSmart and now I will NEVER use them again.
