Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue, Inc. Forever Friends is a foster-home based 501c3 non-profit Great Dane rescue organization operating in Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. Their purpose is not only to save, medically treat and re-home Great Danes, but to educate the public about animal abuse, neglect, puppy mills and other important issues concerning dogs (any and all breeds). BROOD (Basset Rescue Of Old Dominion) BROOD is a limited admission breed rescue organization licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and rescues basset hounds in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia and portions of Delaware and Pennsylvania. Efforts are focused on rescuing adoptable basset hounds in danger of euthanasia. BROOD works collaboratively with animal shelters, animal control facilities and animal rescue organizations in a six-state area to identify, rescue and place basset hounds. See Details

The Humane Society of Seattle/King County (also known as the Seattle Humane Society) is private and receives no local, state or federal support. Seattle Humane has no affiliation at all with Regional Animal Services of King County (Kent) nor with Seattle Animal Shelter. They are municipal shelters supported by your tax dollars.
