Aiken County Animal Shelter supplemented by Friends of the Animal Shelter has saved 19,259 dogs and cats it received from 2013 through 2018. From January 2013 through December 2018, Friends of the Animal Shelter organized and paid for the spay/neuter surgeries of 2,484 citizen-owned pets and community cats.

The CSRA Humane Society is the only limited-admission "no-kill" shelter in the greater Augusta, GA area. They house approximately 125 cats and dogs on any given day, taking in pets as we have space available. All pets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, plus their shots are current, they are microchipped, and they are kept on preventatives for fleas/ticks and heartworms (dogs). They believe that all pets are valuable and that there is someone out there who will be the perfect match for any pet we have.
