  Nice dinner spot

  This was a great place for a nice seafood dinner with our fur babies. The staff was super nice and brought a big bowl of water for them.

  Great lunch spot

  The Shack Outback was a perfect spot for out family of 4 and large dog (60 lbs). Service was wonderful and great attention was paid to out pup. Definitely will go back.

  Great location

  Marley just loves going out to dinner with us. The Cape is his favorite spot. Not many places in NJ. This is our first visit to The Black Cat and it was great.

  Delicious food and dog friendly

  The best New England Clam Chowder I have ever had!!! My pup got his water bowl before human drinks were even taken. My pup enjoyed watching the people on the sidewalk while the humans ate.

  Nice food and dog accepted

  We had expected a better experience after all these positive reviews. We did not get any water or attention for our dog. Granted it was a busy Saturday evening in August. Food was good and our waitress was nice and attentive. Other staff was however not very pleasant. We were placed in a very busy and crowded part of the restaurant..

  Great spot and a pooch welcoming patio

  We’ve dined here several times and always found the staff to be friendly and very pooch friendly. We also enjoy their food, fresh and well prepared. Definitely recommended.

  Our Tina loves the VIP treatment

  The porch is dog friendly, with immediate water bowl and lots of love from staff. In addition, food and service are great . We’ve visited 9 times since July 3 rd.

  Great spot

  We enjoyed drinks on the patio. The waitress brought our pup some water and he relaxed and even fell asleep on the fake grass while we sat in the Adirondack chairs. Very enjoyable afternoon. vibe was great as was the service.

  As Dog Friendly as Can Be

  We brought our pup here on his first restaurant experience and you couldn’t ask for a better staff. Brought him water at the outset, were friendly and engaging with him (while also providing great food and service to the humans). Next time we are here we will be back!

  Excellent restaurant

  We had a great lunch with our puppy. The staff is friendly, the food was very good and they have a good social distance system.
  Our dog had water and a nice space to rest while we ate. We will be back!

  Very Dog Friendly

  I got a seat in the artificial grass area on a cooler night. The heaters were on and everyone was very friendly. They brought water for my dog quickly. The food was amazing too. The area was very nice and they made nice barriers to create even better social distancing between tables (& other dogs).

  Great Place For You And Your Pup!

  The black cat was great and very accommodating for our dog! Love their outside seating area! And the food and service is great! We will definitely be back and with our pup!!

  Awesome staff

  From hostess to waitress best experience ever, they treated my Alaskan Shepard as well as they treated us! Fresh water in a bowl and they always refilled it ! I would recommend this place to anyone with any size dog!

  I went here with my mom and my dog. The food was great. The wait service was great. They treated my little princess like the royalty that she is. What could be better?

  Great food & dog friendly people!

  We had a great time! Everyone was friendly, pet friendly, brought us a doggy bowl of fresh water. Food was delicious! We were on the more casual side of the restaurant which was perfect for our dog. Would definitely go back.

  Love The Black Cat!

  One of our favorite restaurants in Cape Cod, we were so happy to see that we could bring our dog out to dinner with us this summer! The wait staff could not have been nicer, & sat us right away in a nice corner table in the shack out back, where we wouldn't be close to other diners (great as it was her first time at a restaurant so we weren't sure how she would do). Our waitress brought our puppy a bowl of water, & everyone made a big fuss over her - she loved it! And we love the food at The Black Cat - Lobster Rolls, stuffed filet of sole, Ahi Tuna, all delicious, not to mention the nice cold mojitos & Cape Cod Beer. Can't wait to go back again next Summer!

  definitely will return

  Great restaurant! Offered our pup a bowl of water when we were offered water! Everyone loves having the dog there. Heated outdoor seating. Food was delicious. Great Bloody Mary! If your in the area I definitely recommend stopping here with your dog!

  nice patio

  The back patio is a very cute place to sit and have lunch. They were dog friendly and brought us water as soon as they saw our dog. Some prices were more on the expensive side but the food was good.
