  if it’s chilly or raining there’s only 3 pet friendly spots at tables but you can bring your dog to the porch side of the bar.

  A tradition on Sullivan’s Island

  We begin every vacation in Charleston with lunch at Poe’s. Both the porch and patio are very dog friendly!

  Loved this!

  I normally don’t like tuna but the tuna tacos were phenomenal! it was the perfect mixture of heat and sweet. they brought Maggie a water bowl without me having to ask and she’s been getting pets and treats since we got here. The staff is amazing and I highly recommend eating here!

  The best fish tacos

  We went to Sullivans Island strictly for Poes Tavern. I am a HUGE fan of Poe, I have his complete works (and it needs to be replaced, it is falling apart lol). It only took about 5 seconds to get a table on the bottom patio (where pets are allowed), but we arrived as soon as they opened. The waitress was very friendly and gave Jack a bowel of water without having to be asked. I highly recommend the citrus grilled mahi tacos, they were amazing!!! Even without the chipotle sour cream (which I asked them to leave off for me). I stepped inside to look around and I have to say, I was in my own special heaven, they even have t-shirts for sell!

  Porch is dog friendly

  We come to Charleston often to visit our daughter We had heard that Poe's was no longer allowing dogs on the patio. Not true. They were very dog friendly. And yes the burgers are AWESOME. IF you are in ton with your 4 legged child its a must stop.
