Not pet friendly - don’t bother

The spot they offer is very small, with 3 circular tables big enough for a drink. There is a perfect spot up higher with ample seating, but they are adamant not to allow pets. I would not even consider the place pet friendly at all.

    Very nice Location

The staff is very nice and the food was good. The restaurant offers outside seating with picnic tables and shade for your 4 legged fur baby. We will be back.

Dog friendly deck with a view

Before we went to the restaurant for dinner, I called to check to see if dogs were allowed. They told me yes but if there was already a dog there when we arrived and that dog didn't get along with my dog (a 15lb Cavachon) that we'd have to leave.
The deck at CNLP is small (seats about 12 at low tables on plastic chairs) and located off the bar. We walked around the side of the restaurant to access it. We arrived around five pm and sat down immediately. They had a lovely waitress who brought water for my dog. The view was very pretty and the food was good. We also ordered grilled chicken for the dog ($7). I would definitely recommend it!

    Not accommodating for dogs

We tried out this place on our trip to maine. I did read the reviews and thought we would try it anyway. I had called ahead and already knew we would be sitting on the deck off the bar. When we got there I went inside and checked and they told me to just head out to the deck. The deck was up a flight of stairs, which my dog couldn't do so I carried her, and then the door leading to the bar was locked so we had to look in and knock to get someone's attention to come out and serve us. The server did seem to be out off that we were sitting there. The place was very busy and the food was excellent but they took forever to get us our check. We asked for it whrn we got our meal because we had reservations for a sunset cruise. We got the check a half hour later and missed our cruise. I'm sure the diners were much better taken care of inside. Not a good place to dine with the pups though.

    Good food limited space

This is a nice restaurant with nice views and a deck for dining where dogs are not allowed. The "bar"deck is where dogs are allowed and it's very small with no umbrellas, nor bar...but it's off the bar area. We were the only ones here, so we had it to ourselves and had the shade of the building in the corner, otherwise the deck is sun drenched in the afternoon. (1pm in August). The server brought a bucket of water out for our dog and was nice. But I don't think they normally serve out here for regular meals like lunch/dinner.

    fairly dog friendly

We decided to head to Maine for a walk with our dog and some lunch the week after labor day. We choose this restaurant due to its proclaimed "extremely dog friendly" staff. They were accommodating to us and the host did bring a cup of water out for our puppy, which was very nice. The waitress seemed put off that she had to go out on the deck to serve us. Drinks where good and food was as well. We would return, but my recommendation would be to call first to ensure the deck is open.
