    Awesome Spot!

If you have a dog and like drinking this is the place for you, huge off leash area, great prices, and good food (the fried pickles are even vegan!) highly recommend

    Fun spot!

Traveling through Colorado with our dogs and basically all off leash dog areas in Denver were sand/dirt and I couldn’t have my pups getting nasty for our Airbnb. Found this place and so glad I did! It’s a bit small, but enough area for the dogs to run around and play. They have lots of water bowls, a little pool, dog inspired craft brews, and food! Also smoking friendly. It could’ve been cleaner, but for a smaller place with astroturf I honestly couldn’t expect much better!

Great Off Leash Bar But Smelly

This is a great place to get a beer and let your dog run and play with other dogs. I know it comes with the territory but the astro turf is a little gross.

    Interesting

It was really nice to have a place where we could let the dogs run, but you couldn’t actually eat where they can run free. You had to move to a different part. Service was not great at all. He actually gave our food to someone else and then 5 minutes later took it from them and gave it to us. Overall, I’d only go there for drinks and letting the dogs free

Good Food, Good Beer, Gross AstroTurf

We stopped here on our way through Denver while driving from Nashville to Boulder.
The good: Good beer, good food, super friendly staff. I loved being able to give my dogs a place to run around after so many hours in the car.
The so-so: New Denver laws have passed so you can’t have food in the off-leash area.
The Bad: the patio and off leash area are covered in Astro turf and have a distinct pee smell. We were here on a hot summer day, so it might be different in cooler weather. There were also a couple missed poops hanging out on the patio.

Perfect Place For You And Your Dog!

We are driving cross country, and have made a couple stops at various dog parks etc. This is by far the best one we have stopped at. It’s the perfect place where you and your dog can enjoy! Dogs get to run around unleashed, while you enjoy some yummy food and great alcohol beverages- it’s a win win. It was so nice to be out of the car, and watch our goldendoodle play with so many dogs.

    Great find!

This place is awesome! We have two large pups and we’re staying in Denver for the night and wanted to get them some interaction and we needed a drink (we’re driving from Arizona to Wisconsin) This place is legit! We went last night (Wednesday) and got a pitcher of craft beer and a pizza for less than $20! And our puppies had a blast running around with the other dogs. As for cleanliness, I think it does well suppling plenty of things/bags to pick up after your pup. I’m recommending to all my pup friends traveling through!

    Awesome!

We came to Denver for a dog friendly vacation, and The Watering Bowl was great! Our dogs were able to run and play, and we enjoyed drinking and watching! We will make this a stop every trip to Denver!

Great place to spend an afternoon with our dog!

There aren’t many places where you can enjoy a cold drink and an amazing cheesesteak (one of the best I’ve ever had) while watching your dog play happily with other dogs. The service was great - our server was super attentive - and I found the other dog owners to be very mindful of their dogs behavior. If you’re a dog lover in Denver this place is a must!

    Be REALISTIC!

Please come with reasonable expectations! If you're bringing your dog, be realistic.

Positives: The wings are amazing! They've just changed the menu again, so I can't speak to much else. We love these so much; I don't even want to try anything else yet. The drinks are very decently priced. We usually try to go during dog-peak times instead of happy hour, but I've still always felt like they have fair prices with well-poured drinks. The outdoor space is pretty perfect for dogs. The turf is easily cleaned, so you don't feel like you're walking around your average dog pit. They must enforce their cleaning fees, because I've never once seen a customer NOT clean up after their dog. They have lots of space for the dogs to run, and the tables are spaced out just enough to give both humans and dogs fun, safe interactions.

Negatives: I don't know what the service is like indoors, but the service is never great outside. I get that it's hard to staff both areas, but it does mean that you occasionally have to leave your dog unattended (with strangers and new dogs) outside to go order. They do bring your food out to you, though, so at least there's that. I've also seen one owner allow his dog to be on the tall picnic tables... WHILE we were trying to eat there. He didn't even bother to help after we called out to him to control his dog. Another time, there was a woman changing her baby's diaper on the table. Gross. Just plain gross.

The only thing that could possibly make this place better would be having enough employee coverage outside to prevent these few negative customer behaviors. I'd just throw my money at them if they could at least schedule an outside-only server during dog-peak hours.

    Awesome!

A place to bring your pups and allow them to be off-leash while humans enjoy libations and food?! Sign me right up! As a frequent visitor to the WB since the spot opened, I've seen this place openly listen and take feedback from patrons on changes to make the WB the best it can be. Unfortunately, there are not many dog bars from which to follow an example, and I really believe this place has done an awesome job of flowing and embracing a small learning curve, and it really has become one of my favorite bars. They recently revamped their whole staff and introduced a new menu. And last time I was there, I heard that they may be introducing brunch and yoga on the weekends :) next time you're in, try the soft pretzels or cheese fries- you won't be disappointed!
