Awesome Cajun food! UPDATE: CLOSED PERMANENTLY!!

Third Street Aleworks teamed up with Bayou on the Bay to run the food. Result? Excellent local brews paired with awesome Cajun food! We just went again for yet another food/beer pairing (Boudin balls, yum!) on their dog-friendly patio, equipped with heaters, and the lovely server lady immediately asked if MacBeast would like a treat, and then gave him some. Support your local dog-friendly breweries and restaurants: Bayou & 3SAW are a fantastic combo!
UPDATE 2023: The restaurant closed; they moved away and are only brewing now :(

    not even people friendly...

I am frustrated by the lack of customer service at this restaurant. I made a reservation for outdoor seating as we are traveling with our dogs, and they bill themselves as a pet friendly establishment. When we arrived and the host tried to seat me inside, I said that I needed to sit outside because of my pets and as was specified in the reservation. He said the patio was full and he wouldn’t seat us there. I pointed out that I had reserved an outdoor table, and he shrugged and said, there’s no seats there. He did not even offer a time period for a wait. Why bother having options on the reservation if they won’t be honored anyway. Needless to say, they are not even a people-friendly establishment, never mind pet friendly.

    Great for Dog's

I have never had issues with slow service at 3rd Street - In fact, usually a server for the patio area asks me if I'd like another beer just before I've finished the first one. I like bringing my dog here. Usually, my partner will go through the from and ask for a table in the patio, and I'll meed them around the side gate with the dog so as not to lead her through the restaurant. It works fine for us. If you are just drinking and don't want a table you can sit on the benches in the patio area, but you'll need a friend to go inside and order you a beer at the bar.

Just you and your dog? Don't go.

Asked a server (that was outside) if dogs were okay since I couldn't bring the dog through the restaurant... She said yes, and that was it. My dog and I sat at a table for close to 30 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff swarming around outside... So we left.

    Slowest Service but Ok Food

It's the day after Christmas so one would assume that you would be prepared for a crowd, instead we ended up having the slowest service. The table next to us waited an hour and 15 minutes for a plate of cold nachos. Although our food came in less time than that (not by much), at least it was hot and tasty. Currently were wondering if we'll get the check to be able to leave within the next 30 minutes.

As far as dog friendly, my dog and another smaller dogs were allowed in the patio area. The patio is offset from the street so it makes it a little quieter and there's plenty of room in the patio area for humans and dogs alike.

When I return here with my dog...no.
