1st YES dogs are allowed on the patio. Wait staff seems great. Menu looked great and we’d have ordered but bartenders could care a less, so don’t sit at the bar. Once seated waited for bartender to take drink order - placed that one - then 20 min later - didn’t see her at all and the other bartenders just walked past all of us without drinks. Great spot. But way better places in the area where you’ll get served.

I don't like giving bad reviews but I was very disappointed in this "dog friendly" restaurant compared to the others recommend by Bring Fido reviewers. We got our drinks as did several other tables before the dog did. we had to ask several time for water for the dog. When it did come it was in a styrofoam lid. All other places we went to had dog water bowls showing the dog was expected. The live entertainment was nice but the food was average and service was slow.

Good food. Very nice staff that went out of their way to accommodate us and our dog. Beautiful view, and well priced.

Hurricane Charley's may be fairly new to Punta Gorda, but they have a lot to offer. The waterfront dining view of Charlotte Harbor is beautiful - sunsets to be had! - and the food is very good. The live entertainment for lunch was unexpected, but very happily received. Our puppy was happy as a clam on the HUGE tiki deck, and the staff are all super-friendly - to humans and dogs! Attentive, considerate and personable would describe every staff member we encountered. Their prices are reasonable, their beer is cold, and their staff is great - what more can you ask for? Our puppy loved the place & we did too!. We will be back :)
