  Wonderful experience!

  My husband, dog & I recently stayed in Santa Barbara for a little get-away & chose Louie's for dinner on our last evening there. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL from the initial welcome, the attentive service & the DELICIOUS entrees! My husband had the Grilled Meatloaf & I had the Crusted Chicken Parmesan. Every bite was superb. We are still talking about the wonderful dining experience we had there. Wish we lived closer & could experience the delightful dining at Louie's more often! Even our dog enjoyed dining out on the porch - just lovely with the candles flickering! - & the staff kindly brought over a bowl of water for him right away. Thank you for a wonderful evening to our trip to Santa Barbara! The Bunge Family

  I just adore Louie's!!! It's one of my all time favorite Santa Barbara spots for unbeatable charm. The tomato salad with onion, basil, gorgonzola & pine nuts is always great. The meatloaf & crab dumplings are also excellent. We have always had great service and the food is very consistent. For dessert, I highly recommend either the Banana Louie or the to-die-for peanut butter pie!

  Dinner wit Puppy

  Nick was very friendly on the phone as well as in person. The deck is small, so I'm glad we called ahead of time so they could find a table out of the way of other guests. (we were the only couple with a dog) They do have heaters on the deck, which is a plus. The food, service and atmosphere was awesome. We had the "Crabmeat Dumplings" (Very good), Salad "Tomato, Gorgonzola, Red Onions, Basil and Pine Nuts" (Very Good, but small) for dinner my husband had the "Cioppino"(he said it was just Ok) I had the "Sea Bass" it was good but the bass itself was a bit too salty, with the Mushroom Risotto it was pretty good. We ordered a chicken breast for our little pup and it took awhile, so they gave us another glass of wine! All and all this was a very nice resturant I would come back & I would also reccomend to other couples looking to get out, but don't want to leave the dog at home.

  Environment pleasant, great food and staff very friendly with us and with our puppy. Just a little pricey, but worth it!

  Excellent small restaurant with wonderful food and service. Don't let that fool you, it is worth looking for. Really a great dog friendly restaurant.

  Great food and Very dog friendly!

  Place is great to bring your dog. Best part...Great dog friendly Restaurant! Also had a doggie menu. Server very knowlegable about menu both beer and food.
