    Disappointed

Being Fido and Lady that took our ticket on the train recommended this restaurant but we were greeted by a manager who was very rude and he said that he doesn't let dogs on the patio normally but there were other dogs already there but because of the size of my dog who is a St berdoodle he did not want her there he treated as horrible he questioned me relentlessly and threatens me and said that if the dog barks we will be kicked out I reassured him that my Molly has been to very expensive restaurants all the way across Maryland Pennsylvania and Delaware every manager every waiter and waitress has loved her to pieces and she is a very well behaved dog he accused her of taking food off the table we weren't even seated yet we weren't even near any tables I was like we have never been here before my dog has never taken food off the table she was patiently for her own food and we order off the menu for her so why would she not wait patiently they didn't leave us in but it just ruined the whole experience my dog was perfect on her behavior I cannot say that for the other dogs that were in the restaurant and the manager never said a word about that they were barking and growling and making all kinds of noise meanwhile my dog was laying on the floor where she was supposed to be waiting patiently the waitress did treat us with kindness but that manager ruins the whole experience so if you have a bigger dog do not go there he told me that they are not dog friendly and that the reviews lie and that nobody should be telling me that the restaurant was so friendly it was all lies so basically he called me a liar I would not recommend this restaurant in the food was really not that great wasn't worth it I spent $60 on salmon that was overcooked and honestly was not fresh along with Molly's food I think she ate like half of it and my friends ended up with a sandwich she was not crazy about so the only reason we went there was because it was recommended and it was dog friendly everybody read about it but I was very disappointed we were truly not wanted are welcome there and the manager made sure we know it and considering that it was my dog's first year anniversary from us having her and I rescued her from an abuser and we wanted to celebrate her first year of life with us that manager really put the damper and gave us a bad memory it's a shame. And FYI I have taken her to restaurants in Ocean City and have paid $80 per plate for food and the managers at that restaurant treated her like gold they did not look at her size they look at her for her behavior and that's the way it should be my dog was way better behave than any other dog in that restaurant he should be ashamed of himself

    Friendly Staff

The staff was very attentive. they brought water for Barney and were very kind. We just had a drink and quick bowl of soup. Soup was just so-so. I wish dogs were allowed under the covered patio. The current tables are pretty isolated.

    Seasonal so check first

We were here the weekend of 3/4 - 3/6 even though they have an outdoor heated deck dogs are not permitted in. From the questions I asked and the other reviews left the only dog friendly tables are 2 that are seasonally left out front of their door. This weekend they didn't have them even though it was 60°. Seems like memorial day weekend will be their start.

    Luck On Our Side!

when we got there, they immediately sat us at the one outdoor table that seems to be dedicated to dogs (water bowl and decent shade). Beyond that, service was great and when I ordered a raw beef patty for our Newf, there was no issue.

    Molly McGuire's

Jim Thorpe and Gen Onoko are favorites of ours to hike at with our dog. It's always nice to have a good meal and libations afterwords. In our home town of Easton Pa we have we have over 20 restaurants and Breweries that allow dogs at their outside dinning and some even under their covered heated tents every night of the week. Molly McGuire's isn't as dog friendly as you might think after making the trip. They have a one token odd table outside that allows a dog. It is not a table on the porch to be clear. It's a cool setting with mediocre bar food menu but you can't count on it being as cool if you've brought your dog. It's not pet friendly so simply make other arrangements as there are several places nearby that have a more complex menu that are truly dog friendly. In Easton, Bethlehem, Hershey PA, Asbury Park, LBI, Delaware Water Gap, Hoboken NJ you'll find many places to choose from where good dogs are allowed. MM would prefer you didn't bring a dog. Plan accordingly to avoid the wait or disappointment of no table even though many are available.

    Busy on a sunny day.

Keep in mind only one table is available for dog owners. Staff was great though.

No Lady and the Tramp Experience Here

We were forced to sit at one of two tables in what felt like a back ally, while the massive outdoor deck was off limits to any but service dogs.

We ordered our food and decided to take it to go. We wound up in the city park across the street.

I am giving one star for the food that was pretty good and one for the wait staff that tried to help us out.

I can’t give any more on a site that is suppose to guide fellow dog people to find accommodating locations

    Good food

We were seated at one of the tables on the sidewalk. They were quick to bring out water for the pup. All-in-all a good experience.

    Friendly Clientele

Two picnic tables at the front of the restaurant for you and your pup(s) to sit offer a nice view of the friendly clientele. Fresh ice water offered in clean stainless bowls for your furry friends.

    Okay but accommodating!

They allow dogs at the two picnic benches on the sidewalk. They brought out a bowl of water for her and had pretty good service. Good place to get lunch!

    Great Lunch w/ Great Service

We stopped for a quick lunch before going on the scenic railway nearby. My husband and the dog waited on the sidewalk while I went to ask if the dog was welcome for lunch. One of the waitresses stopped me and quickly explained he was not welcomed on the porch, but we were more then welcome to the sidewalk seating. They were very accommodating! Brought him water & he had a hamburger with no bun and hold the seasoning.

The staff was all eager to great Gibbs & they were very welcoming.

Highly recommended if you're in the area!
