  Not Very Welcoming.

  When we arrived, we were told to walk around back to be in a dog approved dining area... the only way to the back patio was to walk down a muddy embankment. When we sat down, I asked for water for my dog. They told me I had to take one of the bowls (which were nasty) and go inside and fill it up myself. The staff were very rude. We won’t be back

  A Riverside Restaurant and Tavern with a Southern Flair.

  It's hard to describe just what sort of place this is. It's got a lot of potential, but it's somewhat of a new place that's also a bit out of the way. The staff, for the most part, is amazingly friendly, especially when they get to know you. The owner will personally come greet you, and remembers repeat customers.

  When we first brought our dog as a puppy, there was another dog there as well. Sadly, we haven't seen another dog since, but we've been back twenty or so times since. They are very dog friendly, although not necessarily dog experienced.

  They allow dogs on leash, or off leash if your dog is very well behaved. Mine isn't quite that well behaved, so he stays tethered.

  Recently, they've had a lot of craft brews in their tavern, which I love, although many of the regulars are more domestic beer types. It has a laid back, southern feel to it, and it's not for everyone, but I recommend you give it a try if you're a dog lover.
