  Not so dog friendly…

  I agree with the previous reviewer who stated the Mendocino Café is more dog TOLERANT than dog FRIENDLY. Yes, they do allow dogs on their outdoor patio. We were seated in the lower terrace area, which is covered with large, sharp gravel. This was painful for our dog to walk, sit, and lay on. They acknowledged her presence in no way. They didn’t even bring her a bowl of water. I would’ve given them three bones if the food had been good, but it was just mediocre.

  Beautiful Place To Have Lunch

  The atmosphere is relaxed and the outside deck is perfect to bring Fido 🐶

  absolutely our favorite

  When we stumbled across this place we didn’t expect anything special. But believe me it was incredible. They brought our pug amazing organic chicken without even asking. Big bowl of water for her and our food was so amazing my husband wanted to come back every lunch and dinner we were in town.

  nice brunch

  We stopped in Mendocino with our small dog and walked the entire town looking for dog friendly space. The brunch was delicious and the outdoor patio with heaters and doggie water bowls was very nice. Definitely recommend

  great food local wines and super dog friendly

  This restaurant was really nice. The people were very accepting oft dogs and there were dog water bowls scattered throughout the patio.y dogs were very calm and happy. I got the Brazilian fish stew and it was great!

  great food and beautiful outside dining

  The food was great and perfectly spiced, not overpriced for the quality. But it was more dog tolerant than dog friendly, Kate had to drink our water out of our glasses. Waiters seemed almost afraid of her and she is a very friendly happy lab

  Great food, friendly atmosphere

  We were at The Mendocino Cafe in summer 2012 and it was the one of the only dog friendly eateries we were able to locate in the town of Mendocino. It was worth the searching though. The outside patio area is dog friendly and they had water bowls available for our two dining companions. The people food is great, can be a little pricey (approx. $20+/person) but not too bad . They don't have anything on the menu specifically for dogs but the waitress said they could cook up a chicken breast. We decided to pass on that but appreciated the offer. We would (will) go here again and recommend it to anyone dining out with their canine friends.
