      Really great food with friendly service

      Drove by this restaurant many times without ever thinking of stopping. Friend suggested we go there for lunch and Wow! The food is phenomenal. There BBQ is the best in Sarasota/Bradenton. Ribs are huge and delicious. And the Cortez Fishing Village is in their back yard, so the seafood is amazing. Black Grouper and Hogfish (snapper) cannot be topped anywhere. The sides are equally as impressive - french fries are a cut to order whole potato.

      Service is top notch. Everyone is treated like family.

      Do not judge this book by its cover

      First visit was with a friend. Was a bit put off by the looks. Then I saw the special board - black grouper, grouper cheeks, hog fish!!! It got my attention. Looked at the menu to see ribs and various smoked fish, chicken,...yum. Oysters, gulf shrimp, stone crab,...yum. Food is all very good. Ribs are awesome. Have you every seen a fried whole hog fish? It looks and tastes incredible. A 16-20oz. hog with 4 sides will feed two and turn heads. The only thing better than the food is the service. You will leave as family.

      It is a bit of a hike for me to get there. If it was closer to home I would eat here more than once a week.
