    Ward's Grill is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, and Saturday from 6:30am to 3:00pm. This quaint diner-esque eatery serves up delicious American style fare complete with quick and extraordinarily friendly service. Choose from menu options like omelettes, pancakes, French toast, biscuits, hamburger steak, meatloaf, soups, salads, burgers, hotdogs, pulled pork, corndogs, and more! Bring Fido along for the trip and have a seat at one of their pet-friendly outdoor tables.       Wonderful food!

      Our dog was welcomed inside this lovely old-fashioned grill/diner which is adjacent to Thompson Grocers, the oldest grocery store in NC. My husband had the 50/50 burger, 50% beef and 50% house made sausage. He proclaimed it the best burger he’s had in over fifty years. I had the club sandwich with fried okra as a side and the portions were so generous I took half of both home. Service was excellent- friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
