    Hefe Rojo is a dog-friendly restaurant offering "a creative take on Mexican food in a playful modern space." Visitors to Hefe Rojo can bring Fido and head to one of its fourteen outdoor tables to sip on a Holler at Chamoy margarita alongside their furry friend. The Mexican restaurant's menu is comprised of soups, salads, appetizers, tacos, bowls, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, and dinner entrees such as Carne Asada and Fries, Smoked Pork "Pot Roast," and its Rojo Burger. Diners with room for dessert can indulge in Coconut Flan, Tequila Bread Pudding or Traditional Tres Leches. Tap and bottled beer, wine, cocktails, tequila, and margaritas are available to wash it all down.       Do Not Bring Your Dog Here!

      **DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE**

      Super bummed about our experience here today. Hefe Rojo claims to be dog friendly, but after the incident we experienced today it most certainly is not. We were having a fantastic time on the patio and had our small dog on a short leash. The table next to us was rolling their eyes and muttering “disgusting” under their breath while looking at my dog. Tried to ignore it and enjoy our meal but finally the overweight bald man (3 margaritas in) sitting at the table goes “you people are f*ing disgusting for giving your dog water out of the glass” ...umm what? They don’t have doggy water bowls so yes we used the glass they give you. Shocked, we told them that we had to give water and that surely the restaurant sanitizes all their glasses. The guy starts raising his voice and the “manager” (some guy with mid length hair with a hat on) asks US to leave!!! What!!! We used to love this place but after today we will not be back. Hopefully the other servers who saw everything will talk to the owner about how the manager treated us today. Picture of my pup for reference on my “disgusting” dog.

      No covered patio, but still wonderful

      While the patio has plenty of shade, there are no umbrellas or coverings. When we went it was lightly raining. We ended up eating inside without our pup - he waited in the car. The food was great and it's a wonderful space. We hope to go back on a sunny day.

      Great food, dog friendly patio

      Modern twist on Mexican food. The nachos are monstrous and will easily satisfy 4 people for an appetizer. You can buy several types of tacos ala carte. I had the chicken and el gringo and they were a good size and delicious. Dogs are allowed outside on the patio. There was a squirrel that possibly lived on the patio. It was good entertainment for my dog.
