J. Gumbo's

Dogs are welcome at J. Gumbo's, where they offer two pet-friendly tables outside. At their location on N Sandusky Street in Delaware, they cook up real down-home Louisiana dishes and serve it up in bowls as big as the bayou. Their founder, Billy Fox, found his grandma's recipe book in her kitchen and bases everything on the menu on the gems he discovered there. With a name like J. Gumbo's, you may be tempted to try their take on the traditional gumbo dish. Their chefs start with a deep brown roux, add onions and celery, and slow cook it for hours.
