    Kent Black's BBQ

    Dogs are welcome at Kent Black's BBQ, where they offer twelve pet-friendly tables outside. Kent Black, their pit master, is a third generation BBQ chef who learned his craft at the eighty-four-year-old, family-owned, Black's BBQ in Lockhart, Texas. He still utilizes the same techniques as his grandfather in 1932, including a simple rub and local Post Oak Wood. On the menu, you'll find beef brisket, pork spare ribs, smoked turkey breast, homemade sausage, giant beef ribs, and a number of sausages. You can combine a number of these meats with a bun, pickles, onions, and some BBQ sauce to make sandwiches. Kent Black's BBQ is open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 8pm and Friday to Saturday from 11am to 10pm. Visit Website

      Delicious food and super dog friendly!

      We’re visiting from Chicago and wanted some barbecue. Kent Black’s is amazing! As we were situating ourselves outside so that one of us could go in to order, a staff member came out and told us we could bring the dogs inside! It was a hot Wednesday afternoon (temperature 96, but felt like 108) at 2 pm and they weren’t busy. Ordering became so much easier, and we chose to eat outside in the shade. The dogs enjoyed a drink of water followed by a nap under the table while we feasted. 5 bones awarded for the delicious food and dog friendly environment!

      Nice outdoor seating area.

      Nice outdoor area with picnic tables. Plenty of space for you and your furbaby. BBQ and sides were great, as well.

      great bbq and outdoor dining

      Traveling down 35 we looked this place up here on Bring Fido. It’s super easy to get to with a great outdoor patio with picnics tables. Our two doxies had a great time and enjoyed the BBQ as much as we did ;) The staff is super nice and you’ll need someone to watch your pups while you go in and order the food. The BBQ ribs are the best we’ve ever had and we will make it a point to stop again.
