The owner, Justin Taylor, is a fourth generation Mahomet native who leaped at the chance to open a sports bar when the county became wet in 2007. Six years later, he opened JT Walker's Brewery and started brewing his own beer to serve, including the Bulldog Brown Ale, the Orange and Blue American Wheat Ale, Hale To The Chief American IPA, and Nine Gals Saison.
