Dogs are allowed at Cousin Jenny's Cornish Pasties. One of the owners, Jerilyn de Boer, was raised on a diet of pasties. The pastry covered pockets originally hail from Cornwall in England. Historically, the men working down the mines found pasties to be a convenient way of getting lots of nutrients without the use of a plate and a knife and fork. They could also dispose of the crust to the pasty after touching it with dirty hands, although I wouldn't recommend this, as the crust is delicious! Their gourmet Cornish pasties include the traditional steak pasty, served with flank steak potato, onion, rutabaga, salt, and pepper. Cousin Jenny's Cornish Pasties is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 4pm.
