Adria Airways is Slovenia's largest airline. They welcome pets to travel in the cabin and hold on a number of flights.Visit Website
If you are planning on traveling with an animal, you must inform Adria Customer Care in advance, since only a few spots are available on each flight. Adria Airways can only carry animals on flights if passengers accept full responsibility for them. You can contact the Customer Service Team directly at 973-637-1012 for more information.
Pets in the Cabin
Small pets are welcome in the cabin with Adria Airways if the combined weight of the pet and carrier is under 17 lbs (8 kg). Animals must remain inside their carrier for the duration of the flight, not transported on the passenger's lap or seat. Although the costs of this service can sometimes vary, small pets being transported in the cabin usually incur a charge of 50 EUR per direction.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Larger cats, dogs and other animals (mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, squirrels, etc) are accepted on flights in the cargo hold instead. Although fees for transporting animals in the hold may vary depending on the destination, size of the animal, and type of aircraft, small animals being transported in this way usually incur a charge of 100 EUR per direction; and larger animals incur a charge of 200 EUR.
For pets traveling in the cabin, the maximum dimensions of the carrier must not exceed the combined dimensions of 45" (115 cm). The carrier must be leak-proof and large enough for the animal to turn around and stand up in. Only 1 animal and carrier is allowed in each container. The carrier must be placed under the seat and may not be transported on the passenger's lap or seat. For pets traveling in the hold, small carriers must be 23" x 18" x 15" (60 cm x 45 cm x 40 cm) and weigh under 99 lbs (45 kg); and large carriers are considered to be anything that exceeds those dimensions. Carriers should meet IATA regulations of sturdiness and be large enough for Fido to move around comfortably inside.
