Aeroflot

Aeroflot is the largest airline in Russia and the country's flag carrier. Pets are welcome to travel in the cabin and hold on select flights. Visit Website

Or call (866) 879-7647 for more information. You can use BringFido to find a pet friendly place to stay at your destination.

Pet Reservations

Aeroflot requires that customers give them at least 36 hours notice for transporting pets. However, the number of animals that can be carried in the aircraft is limited, so you are advised to contact them as soon as your travel arrangements are confirmed to guarantee a spot for Fido. You can get in touch with the Aeroflot Contact Center at (866) 879-7647

Pets in the Cabin

Aeroflot accepts small pets (dogs, cats, and household birds) in the cabin on select flights, as long as the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). Each passenger can bring 1 carrier onto a flight, however, several animals (birds) of the same species can be transported in the same carrier if their weight does not exceed the maximum. The pet fee for animals traveling in the cabin is 75 EUR for international flights and 61 EUR for domestic flights.

Pets in Checked Baggage

Pets that exceed the maximum weight for transport in the cabin can travel in the hold instead. Animals and carriers being transported in the hold must weigh less than 110 lbs (50 kg). Passengers who travel with multiple pets in separate carriers will be charged for each pet separately. The usual fees for traveling with a pet in the hold are 92 EUR for international flights and 61 EUR for domestic flights.

Pets in Cargo

Customers who would like to transport their pets separately from them, or own animals that exceed the maximum weight limits, can contact Aeroflot Cargo by phone at (+8) (499)-755-2-555 or by email at cargo@aeroflot.ru

Carrier Guidelines

For animals traveling in the cabin, the maximum dimensions for hard-sided carriers is 49" (125 cm), and 53" (135 cm) for soft pet carriers. Carriers should have plenty of space, be secure and properly ventilated. The bottom should be solid, waterproof, and covered with a non-toxic absorbent material. For animals traveling in the hold, carriers should be rigid and shock-resistant, and large enough to allow the animal to stand up, turn around, and lie down in a natural position. Good ventilation is necessary for animals traveling in the hold.

    No problems!

We flew from LAX to AMS with a layover in Moscow. It was a long layover but our cat did well. We flew her in cabin and we had no issues whatsoever. Follow the guidelines and pay the fee and you shouldn't have any issues. We will be using Aeroflot in the future to fly her back.
