Pets in the Cabin
Small cats and dogs are welcome in the cabin on Air Corsica flights if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). Several animals per carrier are allowed if they are the same breed and the container does not exceed the maximum weight and size limits. Flights in metropolitan France have a fee of 20 EUR; flights to/from Paris Orly Airport and Paris CDG Airport have a fee of 30 EUR; and flights in Europe have a fee of 40 EUR.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Dogs and cats that exceed the weight limit to travel in the cabin can be stowed in the hold instead. Animals must be at least 15 weeks old and can weigh a maximum of 165 lbs (75 kg) to qualify for travel in this way. The hold is ventilated, pressurized, and heated to give Fido a comfortable journey. Flights in metropolitan France have a fee of 20 EUR; flights to/from Paris have a fee of 60 EUR; flights in Europe have a fee of 40 EUR.
Pets in Cargo
If the size of the carrier is greater than 115 inches (292 cm), the animal is not travelling on the same flight as you, or you are traveling to a country that only accepts pets through freight, you will need to transport your pet with one of Air Corsica's cargo partners, such as AJACCIO. You can contact them directly at (+33) (0) 495 23-56-40 to arrange transport of your pet through freight or contact the Air Corsica Booking Office at (00) 33-4-95-20-95-20 for other options.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the combined dimensions of 45" (115 cm). Only soft carriers are accepted in the cabin. For pets traveling in the hold, carriers can be between the dimensions of 21" x 16" x 15" (54 cm x 41 cm x 39 cm) and 48" x 32" x 39" (122 cm x 82 cm x 89 cm). Carriers should be made of hard plastic or fiberglass, closed with nuts and bolts, and IATA approved. You need to include your animal’s name, your name, telephone number, and destination address attached to the carrier. If the animal and its cage weigh more than 75 kg (175 lbs).
Staffordshire Terrier (pit bulls), Mastiff (Boerboels), Tosas, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Rottweilers are not allowed to travel with Air Corsica.
