Small dogs and cats can travel in the cabin with Air Tahiti if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). Pets can weigh a maximum of 11 lbs (5 kg) without the carrier to qualify for transport. 2 small animals can travel together in the same carrier if they remain under the combined weight limit. Pets must remain inside the carrier for the duration of the flight. The pet fee is $150 on flights from LA to/from Paris each way; 14,000 XPF on flights from Papeete to LA; and 24,000 XPF on flights from Papeete to Paris.

Larger pets who exceed the limits to travel in the cabin may be accepted for transport as cargo instead. To find out if Fido qualifies for travel as cargo, contact the Atlantic Office at (800) 280-8344.

For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 16" x 14" x 8" (40 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm).
