Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to travel in the cabin on flights with ANA.

ANA accept dogs, cats, small birds, and other small animals (such as rabbits, hamsters, and ferrets). The maximum combined weight of pets and carriers is 100 lbs (45 kg). The pet fee for transporting animals with ANA varies depending on the destination of your travel. On flights to North America, Latin America, and Hawaii, the fee is $400; to Europe, Africa, Middle East the fee is $250; and the fee on domestic flights is 5000 JPY.

For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers should not exceed the maximum dimensions 115" (292 cm). They must contain sufficient food and water; have a leak-proof bottom; and be equipped with a security lock. Additionally, carriers must be escape-proof, rigid (metal, plastic, wood), have wheels removed, and ventilation on 3 sides. Animals should be able to stand up, lie down, and turn around comfortably inside.

Emotional support dogs are permitted on board with prior approval. The transportation of short-nosed dog breeds is suspended from May 1 to October 31 every year with ANA. Even when traveling outside of this period, they ask you to take notice of the days when the temperature is high as it may affect the physical condition of your pet. The following short-nosed dogs are not accepted: Bulldogs, French Bulldog, Boxer, Shih Tzu, Boston Terrier, Bull Terrier, Brussels Griffon, Chow Chow, Chin, King Charles Spaniel, Tibetan Spaniel, Pug, and Pekingese.
