Pet Reservations
The number of pets permitted on each route may vary, so it's important to reserve your dog's place on board early. Pet owners should check-in at least 90 minutes before the scheduled time of departure.
Pets in the Cabin
Small dogs and cats are welcome in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 20 lbs (9 kg). Pets must be kept totally inside their carriers for the duration of the journey. Animals traveling with ASL are considered to be excess baggage and incur a charge of 40 EUR per pet in the cabin.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Larger pets who exceed the restrictions for travel in the cabin can be transported in the cargo hold instead. The cargo hold is lit, ventilated, heated and pressurized for the safety of pets inside. Animals traveling with ASL are considered to be excess baggage and incur a charge of 60 EUR to travel in the hold.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the combined dimensions of 48" (124 cm). For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must be sturdy and equipped with an absorbent material (blanket or carpet) on the bottom. Pets should be able to stand up, turn around and move freely inside the carrier. Carriers should have at least two ventilation areas on opposite sides of carriers in the hold, or four sides for snub-nosed breeds (such as pugs).
Other Restrictions
ASL Airlines does not accept Staffordshire Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers (Pit Bulls), Mastiff (Boer bulls), and Tosa breeds in the cabin. Additionally, the importation of primates is prohibited in France.
