Pets in the Cabin
Small dogs and cats are welcome in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 20 lbs (9 kg). Pets must be kept totally inside their carriers for the duration of the journey. Animals traveling with ASL are considered to be excess baggage and incur a charge of 40 EUR per pet in the cabin.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Larger pets who exceed the restrictions for travel in the cabin can be transported in the cargo hold instead. The cargo hold is lit, ventilated, heated and pressurized, so Fido will enjoy a comfortable journey. Animals traveling with ASL are considered to be excess baggage and incur a charge of 60 EUR to travel in the hold.
For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the combined dimensions of 48" (124 cm). For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must be an appropriate carrying case of a the vari-kennel variety, equipped with an absorbent material (blanket or carpet) on the bottom. Pets should be able to stand up and move around freely inside the carrier. There should be at least 2 ventilation areas on opposite sides of carriers in the hold, or 4 sides for snub-nosed breeds (such as pugs).
