Pet Reservations

Pets must have a microchip implanted under the skin, a health card, a passport issued by the vet, and an up-to-date rabies shot to travel with Blue Air. Flights operated to/from Cologne, to Great Britain and from London (Luton), do not allow pets in the cabin or hold. Due to the limited number of spots on Blue Air flights, you are advised to contact the Customer Service Team at 888-258-3247 as soon as your travel plans are confirmed.

Pets in the Cabin

Blue Air welcomes cats and dogs into the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier doesn't exceed 13 lbs (6 kg). Each passenger is allowed to bring 1 pet with them. The fees for this service vary depending on your travel plans.

Pets in Checked Baggage

Pets who exceed the maximum weight restrictions to fly in the cabin can be checked as baggage in the hold instead. Medium-sized pets and carriers weighing under 70 lbs (32 kg) can be transported in the hold. Pets traveling as checked baggage will be charged an additional 60 EUR to fly.

Carrier Guidelines

For pets being transported in the cabin, carriers shouldn't be larger than 18" x 12" x 9" (45 cm x 30 cm x 23 cm). For pets traveling in the hold, animals must be placed in an IATA certified carrier suitable for their size. Fido should be able to lie down, stand up, and move around the carrier comfortably.

    Fantastic flight

checked in my labrador for a flight to larnaca. staff were great, price was great and Freddy arrived safe and well. minimal paperwork on arrival none at birmingham just copies of his passport and booked in at excess luggage desk with some other dogs. He had an extra large container but some did not. Definately recommended.
