Submit a booking form at least seven days in advance, and email all required supporting documents no later than 72 hours before your flight.

Etihad welcomes small cats and dogs in the cabin, as long as the combined weight of pet and carrier does not exceed 17 lbs (8kg). Economy travelers can place carriers under the seat or purchase an adjacent seat for the carrier to sit on. Business or First Class travelers can purchase an adjacent seat for pet carriers. Pets must be at least 16 weeks old to fly. The fee for pet travel under the seat with Etihad is $1,500 or 215,000 Etihad Guest Miles each way, while pets traveling in an adjacent seat will incur a charge of $1,500 in addition to the cost of the extra seat.

For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed 16" x 16" x 9" (40 cm x 40 cm x 22 cm) under the seat and 19" x 17" x 19" (50 cm x 43 cm x 50 cm) if being transported in an adjacent seat.

The following breeds are not permitted to travel with Etihad: Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully, Brazilian Mastiff, Argentinian Mastiff, Japanese Tosa, Doberman Pinschers, Canario Presa and Boxer. Pets are not permitted to travel on flights to or from: India (Ahmedabad and Kochi), Maldives, South Africa, UK (London), and to Australia, China (Guangzhou and Shanghai), Qatar, UK (Manchester) and the U.S.
