Loganair

Loganair is a regional Scottish airline based at Glasgow Airport. They allow pets and carriers with a combined weight under 70 lbs (32 kg) to travel as checked baggage on most of their flights. Visit Website

Or call 0844 493 0787 for more information. You can use BringFido to find a pet friendly place to stay at your destination.

Pet Reservations

Loganair can only accept 1 pet carrier per flight, so you should contact the Reservations Team at (+44) 0844-493-0787 to guarantee Fido a spot on board. Unfortunately, the following Logan Air routes do not accept pets on board: Twin Otter (for Barra, Tiree and Campbeltown), Dornier 328 (predominantly operated on routes to/from Norwich), and Embraer 145 (predominantly operated between Manchester and Inverness, and to Norway). Logan Air does not accept bulldogs, pugs, or pekinese breeds in the hold.

Pets in the Cabin

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to travel in the cabin with Loganair. Cats and dogs can travel as checked baggage on select routes instead.

Pets in Checked Baggage

Cats and dogs are welcome to be transported as checked baggage on Loganair flights. The maximum combined weight for pets and carriers is 70 lbs (32 kg). Pets traveling in the hold check in with you at the passenger terminal and rejoin you in the baggage hall at the destination airport. Only 2 pets who are used to cohabitation of the same species can travel in the same carrier, as long as they weigh a maximum of 22 lbs (10 kg) each. Otherwise, each passenger is permitted to bring just 1 pet into the hold with them. The pet fee for transporting Fido is 50 GBP each way.

Carrier Guidelines

For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must not exceed the dimensions 35" L x 27" W x 30" H (90 cm x 70 cm x 75 cm). They must be large enough for pets to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably. Carriers must also have great ventilation, doors must be secured, and pet's body parts should not be able to fit through any opening on the side. They should be constructed out of rigid plastic, wood, or a material of comparable strength. Fiberboard or wire mesh containers are not allowed in the hold of Logan Air flights.
