Pets in the Cabin
Unfortunately, pets are not generally permitted to travel in the cabin with Malaysia Airlines.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Dogs, cats, and household birds are permitted to fly as checked baggage if the combined weight of the animal and carrier does not exceed 55 lbs (25 kg). Animals are charged as excess baggage and the price varies depending on the weight of your animal and destination of travel.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must meet IATA regulations and allow animals to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably inside.
Other Restrictions
Travelers with pets may not enter Auckland, Australian destinations, London, Hong Kong or Bandar Seri Begawan with a pet traveling as checked baggage. Instead, animals must be transported as cargo to enter these destinations.
