Passengers traveling with pets must inform Mandarin Airlines at least 12 hours before departure time.

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to travel in the cabin with Mandarin Airlines.

Pets can travel as checked baggage with Mandarin Airlines if they meet the necessary requirements. For animals traveling to regions other than the Americas and U.S. and Canadian Territories, the fee is 3 times the usual excess baggage rate. On these flights, animals over 6 months old weighing over 30 lbs (14 kg) must travel on their own in a carrier; animals under 30 lbs (14 kg) can travel with 2 pets in the same carrier if they are a similar size; and animals between 10 weeks and 6 months old with a combined weight less than 30 lbs (14 kg) can travel in sets of 3 if they are from the same litter. For animals traveling to/from the Americas and U.S. and Canadian Territories, the fee is 2 times the excess baggage charge for each carrier if it is under 70 lbs (32 kg), and 3 times if the combined weight of the pet and carrier exceeds this weight. Only 1 pet is permitted in each carrier on these flights, except for animals between 10 weeks and 6 months old who weigh less than 20 lbs (9 kg) who can travel in pairs.

For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 27" H x 35" W (70 cm x 90 cm). Pets must be able to lie down, turn around, and move around the carrier comfortably. Carriers must be ventilated on 3 sides for animals to breathe throughout the journey and have sufficient water and food for the journey.

Pets that have a strong odor won't be accepted in the hold. Pregnant pets won't be accepted within 7 days of giving birth. Mandarin Airlines don't accept the following dog breeds to travel at any time: American Pit Bull, American Staffordshire Terrier, Fila Brazileiros, Japanese Tosa, Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels Griffon, Bull Terrier, Chinese Pug, Dutch Pug, English Bulldog, English Toy Spaniel, French Bulldog, Japanese Chin, Lhasa Apso, Pekinese, Shih Tzu, Tibetan Spaniel, Chow Chow. Additionally, the following cat breeds are not accepted: Burmese, Exotic Shorthair, Himalayans, Persians (Including Chinchilla). Mandarin Airlines don't allow animals to accompany with passengers on all B-738 flights.
