Pets in the Cabin
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to fly in the cabin with MAYAir.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Dogs and cats can travel as checked baggage on domestic flights with MAYAir if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 55 lbs (25 kg). Animals who exceed this weight limit will be charged a fee of $3 for every additional kg. The fee for transporting pets as checked baggage is $40.
For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 20" W x 35" H (50 cm x 89 cm). They should be a suitable size, escape and leak-proof, sturdy enough to be handled easily by Air Panama staff, and should be made of metal, wood, or hard plastic. Carriers should be locked, waterproof, and have proper ventilation. Additionally, they should be large enough to allow the animal to stand up, lie down, and turn around comfortably inside.
Pregnant animals are not allowed to fly with MAYAir. For Fido's comfort, the aircraft hold is kept at the same temperature as the passenger cabin.
